My hub has decided today to stop connecting to the wifi. It endlessly blinks yellow and then purple. Attempts to reconfigure it in the Wink App are fruitless and Wink tech support is non-responsive. All in all good times. Thankfully I have the Hue hub.

I don't think that IFTTT (assuming you even got the ibeacon functionality up) with Wink shortcuts would scale very well to this level of automation. Indeed I think Wink overall would have challenges operating at this level. I think you'd be better off trying motion sensors. Either "dumb"...

I actually got two codes. My wife has an account on the hub as well so she got a code and I got a code. Unfortunately I'm not sure they're selling anything I want at the moment. The code is good through 5/22 so I'm waiting to see if any Spotter V2 become available.

I have a Minimote. It doesn't really operate as a remote with Wink. You can add it to the Hub and use it to control other Zwave devices, but then it is talking directly to the Zwave device. It doesn't run a Robot or Shortcut or what you'd probably want it to do. I don't have any Zwave...

I'd suggest grabbing a Cree bulb and putting it somewhere in between. A powered Zigbee device should work. That said, I'm not sure my trippers (which are surrounded by Cree and GE bulbs) is yet back on track yet. Things are still a bit off after "the incident". Since I'll be re-pairing...

If you're looking for the email and it hasn't shown up, ask the other users you may have on your hub. I'm the hub's owner, but the email went to my wife who's also on the hub. My thought is she has alphabetical superiority (her email/name start with an A). It's a rough weekend for Wink.

Depending on how you perceive it, not actively supporting all zwave devices and only supporting ones which give a kickback is blocking products. I'm just riding this out until STv2 is out. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
