Monitor recommendation 19"CRT or 17" LCD

do yourself a favour and get a 17" the 19" has the same resolution but much bigger pixels so the text will be pixelated. If that's your thing, be my guest.

Safe temperature for Athlon XP barton 3000?

I see so many questions about temp, whether it is ok or not... Too tell you the truth I don't give a sht what the temp looks like, the mb(or proc in that respect) might easily have a bad sensor and then it's useless. The easiest way to say whether temp is ok or less so is the stability...

Which AMD 64 3200+ to get for overclock?

I got a newcastle(2.2ghz) and it does 2.5ghz on less than stock cooling(thermaltake silent copper or whatever) at default voltage(250x10). Since my mem is not that good(Infineon 400 cl3) I run it via the cpu/12 divider(208Mhz). I did not try higher than that, but I am sure the cpu won't bring...

So... guys and girls... Windows XP checks all the time to see if there is any CD in the drive and especially when launching explorer and when an open/save dialog pops up. Any clue how to disable this function? I hate it... hehe Thanks

nah... I have a kenwood mp3 player in my car... so no need for another one. what I need is just a linux shell box. I think I will go with Debian... or maybe FreeBSD(through it isn't linux)

XP on a slow machine?

i run it on p2 350 with 256ram and a 4gig hdd(oldest i have) it performs ok if you get rid of all fancy stuff(mine after loading takes 39MB RAM) so, you should do ok, especially if you have a faster hdd than mine.

Is Running An AMD Thunderbird 1GHZ @1.1GHZ AT 46C TOO HOT?

Well... considering that is overclocked a litle bit I consider 46C pretty OK. It is alil more than normal but it's not at normal speed :)
