I always(for years) turn off the computer when I'm done & turn it on again the next day. Now i get a message in DOS/bootup that some files are corrup or missing...

About file security, the RAID 0 setup is not safer than a single drive. If one drive fails in RAID 0, you still lose all data.(unless it's a RAID 0+1) I have another HD for backup and some on...
I have 2 IBM 75gxp 34gb HD on PCI RAID 0. I just want to know if a single SATA WD Raptor 10,000rpm drive is faster than the RAIDed IDE? If it's just as fast, i might as well get rid of the 2 ibms on PCI RAID that's taking too much space in my case.
