Why are high-end consumer routers still using ARM CPUs, rather than Intel Atom-class x64 CPUs?

How was the modem/router combo configured? Sounds like it wasn't configured for passthrough, which is likely why you saw a speed increase. Either get rid of the modem/router combo and get just a modem, or make sure the modem/router combo is set to passthrough and turn DHCP back on on the Netgear.

This. Solid isn't any worse or better than stranded as long as you use the right connector. The only reason to use stranded is for more flexible patch cables and/or if they are used/moved a lot because they are less prone to fatigue failure.

Age requirement is not universal, and at that there might be exceptions. I'm under 25 and have no issues renting with Avis through my company. Even when I was 21, and got flown out for an interview, I had no issues renting and got standard rates.

Lockers in a truck like that crack me up because you're never going to do anything in that fancy brand new truck that requires lockers. I've been off-roading for a while now (rock crawling) and only just recently put an ARB in the rear, you'd be amazed at the shit I did with open diffs.
