Why shouldn't I buy a 24" iMac?

When enabled (System Prefs, Mouse), the mouse has a touch sensitive surface and detects right clicks when there is no finger touching the left side. It works quite well. I have the BT version of the mighty mouse and really enjoy it.

SMART Status is "Failure"

Directories/Files that can't be deleted

When I have a file or Dir that windows refuses to delete, I open a command prompt window and do it manually the old way... DELTREE baby.

monitor refresh rate?

Shouldn't really matter on an LCD, I cant tell any difference, and I am very sensitive to refresh rates. Higher is always better, but you probably won't notice. Anyone know any technical reason for having a certain refresh? Perhaps for app compatibility...

Windows XP + Rage 128 Pro = total lack of Direct X performance/support?!

Matt, My roommate had the same setup, and yes its true the DirectX compatibility sucks. We threw out the Rage128 and put in a ATI Raedeon7000 and it works now, well everything except Age Of Empires 2, and no one seems to be able to solve that problem. But yeah, its the 128 that sucks in XP...

I recently built a system for a friend that includes a Duron 600 112 MB RAM 8X DVD Built in Video, sound and ethernet Why is the dvd video so choppy? Is it the Video card? Or lack of one? Should I get an agp card or a dvd decoder card or what? Thanks, Limey

WHY cant I reach my max burn speed????

If you are attempting to copy audio cd's from drive to drive, your max speed most likely is only 8x. This is de to the source cd-rom's limited digital audio extraction rate. Many cd-roms only support 8x audio copying. Try doing the same operation with a data cd, it's likely it will zoom along...

Video Capture wintv usb???

HELP!! Trying to load Win2000, but getting error

Yeah I did that, had them on a floppy and everything, it said it had loaded promise controllers for Windows2000, but then when win 2k says.. Startin Windows2000, and boots into the blue loader screen, it gives a stop error, says error accessing drive. and I should check for viruses etc...
