In cherrypicked Benches, great(I mean the 49%). There is a good reason AMD is writing 5500 is 20% faster than a RX480 in their presentation. That's around 140% in psolords graph. 5500er will have a hard fight against the 1650TI, 1660 Super isn't a competitor.

Discussion Looking forward to Nvivia's 7nm 1660TI equivalent.

Wouldn't expect this to happen. RDNA1 will of course age better than GCN and Pascal, as both will get killed with new consoles. There are already games like RDR for Pascal or Ghost Reacon for GCN, which perform awful. But RDNA1 lacks so many features, which RDNA2 will get. All new DX12...

We pretty much don't know anything. No real leaks beside the pcb leaks. All other stuff might be just fake. As we're 14 days from the presentation, i'm sure it'll just be an announcement and hard launch will be in September.

Miners are not buying anymore in high quantities. The boom is over for the moment. This are already a lot of lost sales. If gamers too stop buying because of new gen, than nvidia can sit on tons of old cards. They won't do that.

Chinese or russian plane companies will be very happy about it. Both were not competitive with Boeing and Airbus, but 39billion in planes will definitely help them to get their r&d funded.

It won't be pure Volta, because Volta is lacking too many graphics features. More like a Volta 2, in a way comparable with Maxwell 1 and 2. Maxwell 1 had the shader structure changed, but most graphics stuff was from kepler and it had Keplers DX11.0 Feature Set. Maxwell 2 didn't change shaders...

No, 10nm is too expensive for the effort. Designing a 12nm chip is cheap. A rebrand GP102 will give you max 10%, that's nothing. New architecture on 12nm should be around 40% faster with Diesizes of a bit over~400 and 600mm². As 7nm is very near, this should be a fast Generation, like GM200...

New GPU, still necessary to run DDU with windows 10?

Only needed DDU one time since Win7 and at that time i provoked it as changed from amd to nvidia without even deinstalling amd drivers. Normally just uninstalling drivers gives no problems nowadays.

Max-Q running at full speed

NBA 2K17 is not pushing the gpu very hard, so the gpu can maintain the clockspeed. If you would try a game like battlefield, you would see the gpu downclocking.

It's just a way to use gpu dies that weren't good enough for the 1080Ti. Normally Nvidia would just have thrown away these dies. But over 1 year they collected enough to now use them as a cheaper mining product than the 1080Ti. It will only be available short time, as they won't cut down good...

First time i hear that. Always got the word, that FL12_0 is essential for SM6.0. But even then it probably won't change much. Devs who will decide not to support Kepler, will might go directly to 12_0 and also not supprt Tahiti.
