Quake 4 price drop...$19.99

Hopefully there'll be something like an ExcessivePlus mod for quake4, that got me rehooked on quake3 again all last winter... real fun on good servers where ammo is throttled some, making a very fast paced game of skill (and not just firing streams of rockets cause thats gay)

Okidata C5150n Color Laser Printer - $299 AR

I had grabbed a PDF from the Oki site, it comes with starter toners for all colors. Only good for 1500 pages and I'm not sure how easily refillable they are. Drums last 15k pages and there is one for each color, ~$100 each.

It would be alot hotter if it had Postscript or PCL... Not sure if its still true, but most old Oki printers were built like a brick sh1thouse.

Dual CPU computers...

Mrvile, you are looking at retail prices on xeons. A PC-DL setup can be much cheaper. Also be careful what stepping chips you buy, if they are B0 you prob won't overclock much at all. Look for C1, or better yet D1, or really good M0. There are people (I should be too shorlty) selling those...

Reformatted and problem still occurs.

Don't rule out the possibility of the monitor starting to have difficulty with certain resolutions. Assuming you have autologin, Do you have any startup sounds that play when it normally gets to the desktop? Does your drive still churn after the screen goes black?

I pretty sure you can't just plug in 4 DP xeons in a quad board (can't say I actually tried it either). I wouldn't say it is impossible, in fact I wouldn't be suprised at all if someone discovers a way to mod them. Pokipoki started a thread here...

you might also want some CFLAGS like CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -mcpu=pentium4 -mfpmath=sse -msse2 -fomit-frame-pointer -fprefetch-loop-arrays -pipe" (some of that may be redundant) and some USE flag tweaks. Speaking of which I know mmx and sse exist, but would it be the right thing...

Looking at the system requirements, one could probably find a mac to run it on for about the same price... Actually you may be able to run this in an emulator on a PC. 68000 macs are easy to emulate on a x86 somewhere in the pentium/pentium2 range.

Looking for a good budget PSU

I got a Antec 550 EPS, both them and the ATX are more like ~$100 not $200. Yeah I can understand thats a lot. If you must be on the cheap end maybe look into Sparkle and Enhance
