I'm trying to be kind and informative but it is clear that you have something personal against Ethereum.
No, you weren't correct six months ago. There is/was no conspiracy to keep ETH fees high. It is extremely difficult to scale L1 in a decentralized fashion. Solana and Avalanche (avax is just...
Incorrect. Ethereum originally wanted to scale at L1 but after much research concluded it would eventually centralize the protocol to do so. Hence why they now have a rollup centric map for scaling that is already live and can be used by anyone willing to take a look. And base transaction fees...
The part of your post I bolded is factually incorrect and makes me think you don't understand how blockchains or Ethereum works. Nobody decides what the fees for Ethereum transactions will cost. The way fees are determined is the supply and demand of blockspace. Ethereum has a new block about...
What operating system are you guys using for your mining rigs? I'm currently using Windows but wondering if I am leaving performance on the table by not using something based of Linux.
You might be the first miner that I've seen (besides me) with this mindset. I think you have the right mindset because EIP-1559 is extremely important for the longevity of the Ethereum blockchain. The longer that ETH fees are high, just gives ample room for competing turing-complete blockchains...
EIP-1559 would burn ETH transaction fees which are currently paid to miners. This would lower profitability of ETH mining which is why you might hear rumors of miners pointing their GPUs to Raven.
However, if I was mining ETH and EIP-1559 was implemented, I would probably just switch to...
My gaming PC is hooked up to my 55" OLED TV as I prefer gaming on a couch over a desk. However, it seems the options for high quality wireless keyboards with a built in touchpad are limited. I used to have the Microsoft keyboard (linked below) which worked fine but it doesn't have a backlight...
Can you game with these drivers and overclock? The reason that I am using 16.12.2 drivers is because that was the last driver that allowed Fury X overclocking. Every subsequent driver update locked the Fury X to stock clocks.
Using 16.12.2 AMD drivers, latest drivers or even the 15.12 drivers, my Fury X only gets about 19 Mh/s when it should be around 28Mh/s. Any ideas what the issue might be here for the low hashrate?
Sapphire Trixx and I have tried AMD's GPU application as well.
That is a possible work around, but I would prefer to be on the latest driver release if possible. So I guess this would be my last resort.
When I first purchased the Fury X on release date, I had no issues overclocking it. Up until about a year ago or so, one of the AMD gpu driver updates completely broke overclocking for the Fury X. Whenever I try to increase clocks or even just voltage, performance drops 75%.
Has anyone found a...
I understand that it can be frustrating for the PC gamer looking to buy a GPU. However, miners are acquiring these GPUs lawfully and what they choose to do with their hardware is their own discretion. But what many people don't, and are not willing to, understand is that a lot of these...
That is a terrible thing to wish on someone and I seriously hope you rethink your opinion. Of the twenty GPUs I have mining, 19 of them I bought second hand on tech forums such as this one.
I just got a ledger nano s so I'm in the process of moving my ethereum from my mist Wallet to the nano s. But I'm wondering how I can access the airdropped ethereum Classic and OmiseGo I was given. Will it all transfer to my ledger nano s?
Also, I'm wondering the same thing about my Bitcoin...
The amount of misinformation and uniformed people in this thread regarding cryptocurrencies and blockchain tech is downright painful. I assume this is how many critics sounded during the birth of the internet saying it was just a fad. Time will tell I suppose.
To anyone angry about inflated GPU...
No offense guys but it sounds like you don't understand cryptocurrencies at all. Most are not a scam and Ethereum actually has some technology behind that could change the internet as we know it today and the way business is done in the financial world and many other things. I would suggest you...
Okay so I might've prematurely freaked out because in the time it took you to respond, mist synced and all my ethereum is there. I was worried I had lost over 400 ethereum though. Anyways, I promised I'd buy you a beer or two, so let me know your PayPal.
Thanks!
I have been having extreme issues syncing my Mist wallet for the longest time so somebody on this Reddit suggested deleting the chaindata. I did that and it still won't sync the last 500 blocks or so. But the most cocnerning part is that if I launch Mist without fully syncing, my wallets say...
No offense, but I think that's a silly justification for the poor performance. I think that because the game is released and I've already spent my hard earned money on it, as have many others. I shouldn't have to wait for patches to make the game playable, or have decent performance, that may or...
Hopefully AMD fixes this issue soon. I searched for the Gamer Nexus video on the subject but could not locate it. Do you happen to have the link to it?
For the past three AMD driver updates, I have lost the ability to overclock my Fury X. Whenever I try to apply any overclocks that I know are stable for my chip through Trixx, my performance goes down by at least 50%. Any idea how I can regain the ability to overclock and GAIN performance?
