It also has an app for remote control, but doesn't tie into Wink. Good in this case.

Does anyone know if there is a way to toggle scheduled items on/off via either a shortcut or robot? I am wanting to turn off security lights when home and turn them on when out.

I have decided to go a different direction, so if anyone is interested in my Smart Socket sans SIM card, I'll sell it for $45 shipped anyway in the US. Has US power cable, and lousy directions. Original box appears to have been recycled.

Since the server was probably in the next room, there wasn't any lag. Before I retired, I was a network nerd, and it was amazing how some things were tested vs. real life scenarios. My favorite was the project to have users request data from a vendor 3000 miles away, who would then send us a...

When (if?) wink comes out with local control, this issue will hopefully go away. Sure wish we had an update on that.

I thought we were solving the "I can't talk to my remote home because the Internet is down there" issue. If it is just to remotely reboot the router, I can think of many alternatives.

I bought one of these http://m.ebay.com/itm/181276725878?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&_mwBanner=1 for about $54. I don't have a land line, but this is cellular. Got a prepaid sim from T-Mobile for $3 per month. You can toggle any of the three outlets with a call or SMS. I'll probably get a...

Not sure if this helps anyone else, but here goes. I have 8 Trippers all configured to alert me when they are tampered with, or if the battery is low. 3 of them had robots that had generic names describing their function, bot not the device. 5 had no visible robots, and when tripped by removing...

My Relay is updating again. It seems to update way more often than the hubs. I see no change log for it anywhere. Is it just updating the OS rather than the application?

I solved an ongoing issue with my Wink Relay recently - I forget if it was before or after the hub update, but it was before the relay update. The bottom switch on my Telay would never activate a light controlled by a Caseta Lutron dimmer, using either a shortcut or directly selecting it on the...

Maybe try removing the PPG and reading it? I've got a couple of them and no issues like you report. Support is usually quite helpful in resolving issues, too. Edit: Re-adding it. Sorry. Stoopid otto-corekt.

I would not consider it at this time. It might get there, but there are a cuple of obstacles in the way. First, it needs local control. Second, it needs some way to arm/disarm it. Third, I know of no way to alert you other than an alarm, or texts and emails. There might be solutions to the last...

One of the products I keep hoping gets supported is the GE GeoSpring hot water heater. I bought the module for it as it says on the box that it is compatible with Wink. I was able to get a ZXT-120US to control my Daikin split system heat pump. It required a separate z-wave remote to configure it first, but that was probably specific to the ZXT-120US. I do remember it was a PITA to get working on the Wink, but once configured, it has worked flawlessly.

I think you went the wrong way with the bulbs. I think you should have used Lutron Caseta switches, or something similar, and regular led dimmable bulbs. This gives you the automation but still allows a physical switch to turn off/on/dim your lights. They also easily replace 3-way switches. More...
