I've been getting my 40W equivalent LED bulbs from Costco for $8 a bulb. Unlike CFLs, they are instant on, produce a lot less heat, and the light is more pleasant. I replaced some 60W incandescent bulbs, and it seems like it gives off about the same amount of light.
webOS isn't EOL yet, just the hardware that HP was making. They will be licensing the OS. Yes it it still up in the air whether or not they will be able to make that happen, but I think I need to keep pointing this out for the people that aren't active in the webOS community and don't know...
It depends on the overclock kernel you download. Some have a screenstate that turns down the speed when the screen goes off. One kernel has multiple (Warthog I think) clock settings. I keep mine running at 1.5GHz. WebOS Internals also has instructions on getting linux running, so you can use...
Just a heads up for those of you that are interested but don't know much about what is going on at HP...
They are not going to be building anymore hardware for webOS, but they are keeping the software and working on licensing it out to hardware manufacturers.
Those of you concerned about the...
Deal just became a lot hotter for me today (net neutrality decision that came down today, for those of you not paying attention). Screw you Comcast, I'm not letting you decide what I should be using the internet for.
I'll be switching to Sonic, an ISP that's been around my neighborhood since I...
As probably the only one around here that has one of these drives from DealExtreme, the reason I didn't post this deal was because of the possible problems that it could pose. So far no one I know about has been banned from live for using a non MS drive, and most likely they won't due to the...
Saw The Tossers open for Dropkick Murphys. One of the rare times an opening band made my friend go out to the lobby and buy their CD right after their set. It was an awesome night.
If I didn't already own this Flogging Molly CD, I'd be all over it. If you have a chance to see them live, do...
I got one of these: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30827
Sure beat the hell out of doing it myself to save about $10 (if you include the price of the hard drive housing). With the exception of some Engrish on the box, you really would have a hard time distinguishing this from an...
Rock Band 2 works just fine with Rock Band 1 drum set. They designed it so you wouldn't have to keep buying a bunch of fake plastic instruments every time you bought a new game, which tends to piss people off.
Worked for me. I chose store pickup and there were three left at my nearest store. Got one for me and one for a friend. Deal's not dead, it's a YMMV deal now.
Wow, a soap opera!
All you new guys that joined in the last 2-3 years during Jokersmoker's "hiatus"... Take a look at Joker's post count... that's 10,000 hot deal posts. That's what Joker does. Rarely does Joker ever post twice in one thread or anything off topic. Unlike most every other...
I'd go for Gears 1 and 2. I'd go with Rock Band over Guitar Hero (I suck at fake plastic guitar, Rock Band has better vocals and drums than Guitar Hero World Tour) if you want to try a music game. Half Life Orange Box if you don't already have the games for PC. Bioshock, Fallout 3, and the...
My new Xbox arrived today. Glad I missed out on the Amazon deal and paid the $5 more at Dell. Ordered on Sunday, shipped on Monday, and arrived Tuesday.
I can confirm that the unit I got was a 512MB Jasper. And it's crazy quiet. Might be worth it to find a bigger hard drive to do game...
Been watching this deal because my xbox has been acting flaky all week (locking up with screen glitches) and the last time this happened to me I got RR'd. This morning my current xbox RR'd on me and when I went to order, the deal was gone...but...
Dell has the Arcade for $170 after coupon...
My biggest fear is that the zombie apocalypse and the robot uprising will occur at the same time. The silver would be a good investment in the event of werewolf/vampire attacks though.
Thanks. I went with this deal. Sometimes it's not about the retention. Sometimes it's about the completion rate. I was a Giganews subscriber for a long time, then switched to Newsdemon for the cheaper deal, but regretted it shortly after.
I'm sure Thundernews is just fine, but Astraweb...
I hate those big button controllers. I ended up ditching them from the first game and just used my normal controllers. Hit the D-Pad to ring in and the buttons on the controller correspond to the same color on the screen.
Yes you can network, albeit at slow speeds. Most people would be using these for mouse, keyboards, headsets/headphones, and other peripherals, in addition to connecting to their cellphone. In my case I have a nice wireless headphone set that I would use with my netbook.
A quick tip about printing out your movie ticket: use a color printer. The morons at the theater closest to me wouldn't take my printout from my laser printer because they thought it was a copy. And if your theater still doesn't take it, hollywood movie money will reimburse you as long as you...
Ah, gotta love the unlicensed asian knockoff products.

My wife has a couple Engrish shirts that family from Hong Kong have given her.
That's $50 worth of points. Most games average in the 800 or $10 range, so 4000 points is about 5 live arcade games. Rock Band songs are usually 160 points, or $2, so about 25 songs.
Under Technical Details:
"Cost-friendly charger and Nickel-Metal Hydride battery combo for your Olympus Digital Camera"
Doesn't look very friendly to me.
I live in northern california, and had the card for 2 years, and I have never used it. the deals suck, and now that they are charging for it, the card will most likely die off.
Wow, that sucks, but seems typical of DHL - the majority of my experiences with them at any rate. I won't order from certain places when I know they use DHL.
If anyone is interested, I just got my copy today. I ordered Feb. 26, and it shipped out Feb. 28. According to the mailer envelope, it came from Florence, KY and I live in the San Francisco area. Hope that helps some of you figure out when yours should arrive.
I was just about to spend about $80 more for the next model up with features I didn't need at Costco.com. I've been using Brother printers for the past 6 or so years, and I have had less issues, and the printers have lasted longer than any other brand. Thanks for the heads-up on this deal ActiveX.
I ended up deleting all temp/cache files, cookies, etc. from both IE and Firefox, then restarting the computer after closing the browsers. I think it defaults to a free shipping coupon code first, and then won't go to the hd dvd coupon code. All I can say is , keep trying.
I didn't see anywhere that there was a limit of one type per person, and you can select all the boxes for each sample type and submit just once.
Aside from that, awesome freebie. Thanks Mosh.
