Question Lenovo ThinkPad X270 screen upgrade

I'm sure the cables are interchangeable (mine has LCD cable 01AW438) and also noticed the different plug location. What I think I need is the MTM from another X270 with the Full HD screen where I can see the P/N for the LCD cable, LCD cover etc.

I have this nice X270, mtm 20hn-002ruk with a horrendous AUO 12.5HD A - 04X0324 display. In the compatible list for this model I see the Full HD options, AUO 12.5 FHD IPS AG 2.3t - 00HN883. Does anyone know what other parts will I need to make this work (different cable, different lcd cover etc)...

IMO get a serious headset, not one of these cheapo full of leds mediocre sounding gaming headphones. All of them are the same $10 headset with some leds strapped on and $100+ price tag. If they're USB it's even worse because then it means they've slapped a DAC in there and you have no way of...

I don't care for bluetooth audio, maybe with version 5 or 6 when bandwidth is greatly improved so lossless playback is possible. I chose a Fiio K1 dongle for now which is cheap and in all ways superior as a DAC and headphone amp than what they put even in top of the line smartphones. It sounds...

4 Wharfedale Diamond 9.5 stands, Monitor Audio Silver center & Monitor Audio RSW12 sub powered by a 7x150w Yamaha AV receiver. Not using it much nowadays, neighbours don't like it. Burson Conductor & Audeze LCD-3 main listening. Fiio K1 & iBasso IT01 on the go.

Titan for PsyX

Is there a point to external sounds cards any more?

You Sir speak the truth. Even add-in cards have a battery of capacitors to clean the power section.. and whoever is serious about computer audio and invested in a pair of high end speakers / headphones needs to consider external DAC / Amps which have power supplies of their own.

A discrete sound card will sound better than on-board in most cases. It has to do with cleaner signal path, audio grade capacitors, better amplification. It just sounds better, a fuller sound. I have IEMs and hear the on board hissing starting at 40% volume. While the ZXR destroys the on board...
