Any AT'ers with the XP 1700+/1800+ T-Bred B's yet?

Just got my tbred b jiuhb 0302 from excaliber pc. Running at 2ghz @ 1.65v on an epox 8rda+. I haven't tried pushing it any further but I haven't been able to get the thing to crash either. Very stable. I might try pushing it more, just to see what I 'can' get. Maybe not...

Should I get Kingston HyperX PC3000 or Samsung PC3200??

whats the difference between this TRUE 3200 Samsung and the samsungs that don't say true. I looked on the knowledge micro site and it doesn't say true, plus the picture looks different then neweggs true 3200 samsung...any comments?

New to o/c'ing - what to do?

Mainly I just want to know if overclocking is a viable option given my equipment. If I have to spend alot of money on a HSF and cooling gear, I can just use that money towards upgrading my cpu/mobo anyways. But if I can spend 30-40 bucks and get my 1700+ to at least a 2000-2100 that would be...

My resolution is and always has been 1600x1200. I can notice a huge improvement from crt's to lcd's so I know my eyes aren't bad! I just couldn't tell a huge diff in 2d quality.

Just bought this thing from CC to see if I liked it and I got +5000 points in 3dMark2001 System is a xp 1700+, 512 pc2100, epox mobo, System before w/ gf3 ti 200 = 7500 System after w/ Radeon 9700pro = 12500 Wow!! I didn't notice any difference in visual 2d Quality though...not sure what...

thanks for the review AT. I think I'm going to take this samsung back and keep my sony g500. I compared both sitting next to eachother and the LCD is definitely clearer, it's just a LOT more money for just a tad bit of clearness. Also doesn't run in the resolution I'd like and I can see a LITTLE...

Hmmm....after I did that crisp enricher thing in XP...text looks great! But...there is a slight reddish tint/blurr coming from all the letters if you look close...wtf is this??

I have been reading alot of reviews on the best LCD's out today and the people still say they aren't as good for gaming as CRT's. If they were relatively close in price as CRT's then this wouldn't be as big of an issue. But for twice the price I would want the thing to be better at everything...

Good time to buy a new PC?

I have basically the same setup as you except a xp 1700 as cpu. I can run any game that's out right now 32bit 1600x1200 and get decent/good framerates. I don't upgrade until a game/program comes out that I can't run decently. That's how I've always used it as a measure to upgrade. If it runs any...

But my general concern is LCD's just don't look 'as good' as a good CRT. Is this the general concensus? I was looking at a high end $2000 24" widescreen sony LCD, so I don't think it was a horrible low end. It was sitting right next to the Sony E540 or something playing the same thing and didn't...

Low fps in need for speed hot pursuit 2.. OH COMON!

Just installed it on my gf3 ti 200 xp 1700+ system with details on MAX. Framerate is silky smooth. Same with my friends. Not trying to brag, but just letting you know your system is more than capable of getting good framerates...

New computer but low benchmarks. Help!

Uhh no that is not normal. I have a xp 1700+ w/ a gf3 ti 200 and get at LEAST 7000 on 2001se. At least I hope to god that your score isn't normal, if that's the case then I'm not upgrading for a LONG time!

Video card or Monitor??

Monitor is a sony g400 and card is a gainward gf3 ti200. I've had no complaints about this setup, until my friend recieved his dell 17" from ubid and gf4mx200 or something. Speedwise my setup destory's his. Visually his setup 'LOOKS' alot better than mine. Colors are more vibrant and much more...

Refurbished Dell/Sony Monitors

I bought a refurbed sony g400 from ubid a year or so ago. absolutely no problems and I couldn't be happier. it was alot cheaper than buying it b&m new or any online place for that matter.
