Hi Indy, I hope you still post here. I've been very quiet lately but still reading what little information there has been about Wink.
I've basically come to the conclusion that Wink is truly dead. At least I'm not willing to wait on it anymore.
Like you, I can't do without Home Automation...
I'm guess I've been too much of an optimist about Wink. They put out the new Wink Hub 2, which on paper looks great and has local control of lights, etc.
But they still have the same amateurish QA (if any) of their software updates. They pushed out a required hub firmware update this weekend...
Well, so much for local control.
As you can see Wink's network is down.

None of my robots or shortcuts will work.
Just manually turning on individual lights/switches.
With Wink's latest firmware & software changes, it has broken a LOT of my robots and shortcuts.
For instance, I have a robot set for a certain timeframe in the morning so that when the garage door opens, all the house lights should shut off. It didn't fire this morning so I looked into it...
I agree with that. While Samsung does make a lot of good hardware, their software sucks and I still don't trust them for long-term commitments to platforms.

I'll say no, but it's looking good for next year. They just put out an update (4.0.1) on Dec 18th. The notes for it said:
"We're closing out 2015 with one final app release that tidies up some things that needed tidying and paves the way for a big 2015. Happy Holidays!"

Although the Quirky products are going fast, Wink continues to support them.
The 2 products I have really liked from them were
TAP-T Binary switch
Outlink switched outlet
Both of them are Zigbee and (for me anyway) have worked much than Z-wave counterparts that I have tried.
