I think BYOD is provided as an option. Employees dont have to do it. And I have never heard of any finance related firm having BYOD facility. that would be like inviting a hornet to kiss your nipple...
I liked this suggestion but dont think this is what OP meant in his question. The best way to learn something is of course to have goal oriented tasks completed with the language you want to learn.
When I was beginning I used to frequent various forums and see if people wanted programming...
i am in an almost similar situation, but for the fact that I really enjoy working with the people I work with (cross my fingers). I have taken the next step up, and I have already questioned my decision. But the adventurer within wants to plow on.
Actually on another note, I also want to know what is the best bang-for-buck cooler for the x99 platform. I am willing to try air coolers. From my research it seems that these days they are almost as good as AIO coolers. And I don't think I will do any extreme overclocking. My CPU will most...
Has anyone here any experience with this cooler. Youtube has one dependable review from Jayz two cents and it looks promising. I am working towards building my first rig using the x99 platform and was curious about any challenges i should be prepared for.
As merad pointed out, they are libs. Both on Windiows as well as linux. Since Apple is a descendent of the *nix family (I think BSD), they can be libs (shared objects) on it too. Wonder if iPhones use the same kind of drivers. Not very sure about that.
This is one of the things i am building my first rig for. Once I have it all up and running (x99 based), all i gotta do is just wait for my nobel for finding the cure for cancer. Or alien life. Or something :)
Whats wrong with having Windows too? Its not a bad piece of software ya know.. (I typically have dual boot laptops setup but the fan boyism is stupid).
Its funny reading all these posts about ppl not being granted access... The admins repeat what they have already posted only 2 posts up. Ppl just dont bother to read lol... i would rather be an elementary school teacher then an admin here :)
I dont think that time is anytime soon. Even if instruction pipelines and methods of delivery change (quantum) there will always be something doing the processing. I think they will probably call it "the CPU".
thanks all ..sounds like the general consensus is that i am little future proof if i go with 5930K, but one firepro+one gtx shoul still be fine for my needs with 5820k.
i guess the decision is made. wish i had jumped on the fry's deal for $277 for 5820k now !! :)
well - as i mentioned, i see a maximum of 2 cards being used. Problem is one is a firepro and the other a gtx 970.
so i am trying to make sure i dont run out of lanes. i think i might be able to x16 for firepro (primary) and x8 for gtx970.
leaving 4 lanes (assuming i go with 5820k)
That should...
Thanks - I am still doing some research (though some components are bought already). I have some flexibility in time. I will have to check the two options you mentioned.
Hi,
I am noobie member and building my first PC. I know I want one of 5820K or 5930K but not sure which one is cost effective for my situation. The new PC will be mostly for some rendering, occasioinal gaming and running some virtual machines. I know I will have one GTX 970 + 1 firepro W5000 in...
