Coming along with the Distributor to Explorer Distributorless ignition in the 96 F150. I think I had to mess with 10 wires at most to do this. Didn't add a single wire as well, just had to move them around on the PCM and make pigtails.
96 F150 Distributor to 97 Explorer Distributorless...
I don't see how your SS could win. It's got a LS3 with 415HP/415TQ. Hell a stock 2016 Mustang GT can beat that unless yours is really "Special" which I highly doubt it.
I only good luck with:
1. Interstates Megatron MT-65 (I can't tell you how many times I got this battery voltage low enough that it wouldn't have enough power to crack and it still lives to this day 4 years later, it replaced the last one that was on the truck from 9 years ago)
2. Motorcraft...
Every daily driver I had when I first got the Car/Truck, Drove it like I stole it. All of them past well into 100k miles without issues.
Then again, all of them are Fords so they never give me much problems to begain with. lol
Nice, If they made a 6 bulb T8 version I would get them. 384 watts of lights as of now lol.
Don't mind the extension cord that goes to a UPS for the garage door opener.
It's personal preference. but black cars are nice... When new and clean. that's it and I wouldn't get them for that reason stated above.
I tend to go for light coloured cars like silver and white, but deep impact blue is my weak point. lol
Honestly, a bad battery could be just it. You could have a weak alternator too but once you get a new battery in, check your voltages at idle with a voltmeter, it should be around 13-14 volts (ideally between 13.8 and 14.2 volts)
