When was your golden age of gaming?
I'm talking favourite consoles and games.
Personally its a tossup between Old school DOOM on the PC (probably because it was the first game I remember playing as a kid)
Or the PS1 days, METAL GEAR SOLID always stands out as a particular favourite...
Thanks for all the helpful advice guys, after a little research I'm pretty much at a tossup between the EVGA supernova 850 P2 and the Be-Quiet Dark Power 850. For my uses would there be any noticeable difference in performance?
I'm looking at something like 32GB RAM, 2X Internal SSD, I7 4770k
Price wise I'm not looking to break the bank but willing to pay what is necessary to get something that will perform, probably upper-mid price range
I'm going to be building a PC for music production, I'm looking for a PSU that is going to be reliable and most importantly QUIET, anybody out there with experience of a similar project got any first hand recommendations?
I get best results with pea size, pastes are liquid and excess just squishes out but with some confidence that the gaps are filled which is the point after all with thermal compound
I prefer MX4, you get 5X the applications vs Arctic silver 5 -tube is sized for ants lol, probably why they...
Skyrim all day long, there is so many great mods out there too now that its hard to get bored of that game, I keep finding myself going back to it time and time again
Yeah i have heard something about Arctic silver...... something about being a astroturfing company or something like that.
Best thing is any paste that is too much of a liquid such as AS5 and others will need to be re-applied after 10-12 months as the liquid dries out and creates free-space...
damn that r390 is one heavy beast in terms of wattage. I would seriously upgrade your PSU if I were you. Think of it this way.... you should never run your PSU over 80% capacity for longevity purposes:)
Personally I would select Evga. In my opinion Gigabyte as a manufacturer has gone down hill since releasing motherboards with childish gun mag heatsinks
holy thread resurrection batman!
I have heard about this company... arent they the company that does.. i forget what its called something astro..... il have it in a moment.
That's it arent AS5 the company that employs Astroturfing techniques in order to fool people that its more popular...
Sadly i feel GBT have gone down in my estimation in the last few years. They should concentrate on making a decent board instead of childish gun-mag shaped heatsinks etc.
Hey ed21x nice to meet you:)
In regards to fatality, I cannot respect this guy. He is a gamer not an overlocker. he knows what looks cool but not how it all works together.
I remember abit motherboards back in the day.....they had a reputation for being great clocking boards but as soon as the...
OK perhaps i can help here.
The reason why its rocking and as you quite rightly pointed out the TSIS is convex for a reason is that CPU IHS's are in general CONCAVE. So concave plus convex = good connection. But since you have already lapped your cpu then indeed you would find the issue you...
Yeahj ive had that issue too. The functionm never works right from a cold powerup. Also in the POST PS2 ports are ALWAYS engaged before USB anyway in the startup process.
