I was in Fry's on Saturday and bought an ATI brand (not OEM) 9800 Pro for $149.95. Their sale usally last thru Tuesday. This was at the Dalls (Garland Road) store.

AGP Apperature size

Is a good rule of thumb to set the AGP apperature to half of your PC's RAM? I have a 9600 pro (128 Meg) and 512Meg of DDR RAM. I set the apperature to 256Meg. Is this OK or should I bump it down to 128?

nVidia Registry Cleanup

Well, I'm back on the ATI wagon after going to a GFX4 4200 for a while. My 9600 Pro should be in the mail any day and I want to make sure that all of my nVidia drivers and registry settings are gone. Isn't there a utility out there that does this?:P

UBS 1 Hub On USB 2.0 card

Best cooling for a Radeon 9500 Pro?

Sorry about the blank post! Why don't you keep the stock fan and augment it with a Zalman 80mm fan and bracket blowing down on it from the top. This will cool both the front and back as well as the surrounding area. It's the same fan/bracket combo that they use with the "flower" cpu cooler...

Does the 8500DV's software DVD decoder have Dolby Digital 5.1? Which software players have it?

Your Audigy will do the 5.1 decoding, so either player will be fine. If you want to bump up to DTS, use the PowerDVD 4 software. I prefer it to the ATI player anyway. It finally supports the hardware assist from your ATI video card. The PowerDVD does software decoding for both 5.1 and DTS...
