If it is annoying so many people then get rid of it. What is this place about, afterall?
You just won the jackpot of a two week vacation for this thread
DamnSmallLinux, puppy, and Feather are good places to start with linux. They are small enough to download with dial-up,small enough to be less confusing, they boot from cd,usb or hard drive, and they have very active developement and great community spirit.
The monitor can handle any resolution at which it was tested. But, that should make no difference on the booting/bios stuff which it does or does not show except on certain computers. As before, results vary according to what system it is on....but mostly nothing as primary and faultless as...
I have tried this monitor on 6 different computers with single monitor video cards. I have had varied results. On my Easy Now the boot stuff shows and then it goes blank. On an old Gateway there is no boot stuff, but if you turn the monitor off and on after Windows 98 has booted you can see...
I have a monitor that will not work as a primary monitor........black/dead/nothing. But, as a secondary monitor it doesn't miss a beat. Why will this monitor work fine as a secondary monitor in a dual monitor setup and NOT work as a primary monitor?
My Optowrite203 has been burning flawlessly. But, the new batch of Memorex+R isn't Ricoh it was CMC Magnetics which wasn't recognized(insert media) by the drive. With great trepidation I flashed to the new 2.30 firmware and the CMC media was recognized and burned successfully.
My drive is stealthed and I have NO problems ejecting. I had one coaster when I first got it because I let Nero burn at max and it didn't work. I have burned over 100 movies with the Amazon\Memorex discs at 4X and it works great.
DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5 and Nero 5.5 have been flawless.
I didn't try all the possibilities, but divx worked good for me. If you want stand-alone playback, DVD burners are nice and easy to use. The Hot Deals forum has a thread on this capture card that is really long and has a lot if good info.
This is a common deal at several places online. They burn at 4x on my Optorite with the new firmware and they play on puter DVD drives and stand-alones on which I have tried them.
The Amazon on sale 25 for $29.99 Memorex DVD media burn at 4x on my Optorite 203. I use DVDDecrypter,DVDShrink,ImgTool and then DVDDecrypter to burn and all is well. :disgust:.......I swear I just clicked once..............

The latest crash was a problem with mshtml.dll, other times I sent the error report and was referred to updates for direct x 9. vb script, can't remember but i think there was a gdi.exe and user.exe problem. There is no new software installed that hasn't worked fine before unless it might be...
Internet Explorer started crashing on a w2k install so i did a new win98 install and had the same problem so I did another Win98 fresh install and still have the same problem. I have upgraded to IE 6.0 and did the other fixes etc and continually crash the stinking browser. My puter runs fine...
I had that problem recently and just deleted and then set up the raid stuff again in the boot up sequence on my hacked Promise controller. I didn't lose any data.
The cold cathode fan I bought from 2cooltech is as bright or more so than the 12 " cold cathode I have and the fan installed in a window will probably be centered for better lighting.
My SV24 isnt loud....but i ain't using it for a pillow...................
It's on the end table next to my easy chair and I don't even hear it when I am watching TV and surfing the net.
Just thought I'd toss this "could be in the Hot Deals forum too."...............Divx Pro 5.0.3 for $14.99.
This seems like a good deal for a codec that a lot of people use and they should appreciate financial help. With iUVCR, Virtual Dub and Divx Pro 5.0.3 I got a 42gb capture of a VCR tape...
The I-Opener is a piece of hacking history, much like the Celeron300A was to the overclocking crowd. The community effort at hacking it in the many versions was totally amazing. $15 for shipping to much?................I paid $35 to have mine shipped from Taiwan..........and got it in 4...
I used to have a monitor that had a pin on the connector that I had to pull out flush with the other pins before I plugged it in. It worked fine when I plugged it in and hit the hole ok...........I just didn't use it for my bench set-up.
Why is a P4-A out of the question? The "missing" 2.5 is only a problem if you get a cpu that will overclock more than your memory can handle..............you can do a mod to get 2.5 if you need it. The warm boot thing is annoying at first but it's better than a cold boot problem. My changes...
Shipping from 2cool to the midwest was $5.50 by Fedx for my order.
I wonder how they look on a Bit-tech style CC throbber....guess I will find out when it gets here.
Don't underestimate hackers(and if you ever overclocked a CPU, you are a hacker) there ain't any way in heck they can stop it. The solution is for cd's etc to be more reasonably priced....then it wouldn't be worth the trouble.
New drivers just came out. They seem to drop my CPU useage. You might have to get them from the Taiwan site but i had a good connection and the download time wasn't bad.
