I bought some this morning at the Houston store and it's working fine here.... I love their prices, but they have the worst service in the world at the stores.

MSI K7T Pro2-A with high density SDRAM (will it work)

I emailed tech support for the memory chip maker, and was told that it would not not work. MSI never answered. That in mind, 2 people emailed me that they had used it succesfully. I bought Apacer instead for $120.

DON'T BUY MSI PRO2A

built my system today, many problems with the Rage Fury Pro and drivers with Win98. Downloaded new driver from ATI and all is well. I must say that I am really happy with the system out of the box, tweaking begins later tonight

Thanks everybody!!! I went ahead and used the washers since it wouldn't hurt anything. I thought that grounding the motherboard was involved in there somewhere. I'm glad that point is moot.

They usually came with the mounting screws, I have gotten them before. I remember one board that had the plastic clips for all point but ONE, and it had a post, screw, and washers. That is the one that makes me think that there MIGHT be a reason for this. Of course since MSI didn't mention...

bkdiem2 That type memory won't work with the KT7-RAID according to http://www.upgradeplanet.com/ (where the deal is). On boards that do not suppot the 32Mb x 4 chip configuration, it will only recognize 128 Mb. I can't find out if this stuff is supported in the MSI K7T Pro2A I just bought. I...
