Ok, upon closer inspection as you suggested, I do have one capacitor that looks to be shot. It's got a bit of a bulge on the sides and an orange-brown crusty substance on the top. This is the capacitor that sits right beside the connection from the PWS. I'm just having a hard time believing...

Your problem sound similar. I never had an object blocking the PWS fan or any of the vent fans for that matter, but the fact that the 4 red LED lights inside were there and your monitor would say "no signal detected" also is what mine is doing. My MSI motherboard manual says the 4 Red LEDs...

Msi K7t Pro2-A On-board sound

Ok, I know there isn't a problem with the cables or detection of the cdrom in BIOS, because I just booted to Windows ME and everything is fine here. All my partitions are visible and accessable as well as my cdroms and zip drive.
