I guess basically what i am asking for is some opinions on is it worth it for me. I know nobody can really answer that but me but im looking for insite anyways. I play games alot and use the computer alot but not for any big tasks and video editing etc etc. Is he 960 evo really worth $250-ish...
What are the pros and cons of buying a Samsung 960 m.2 or 950 m.2pro over the Samsung 850 pro? I know that the 960 pro is obviously much faster in many ways but not all ways I read. But can you list all the pros and cons or upgrading to a samsung 960 or 950 pro over the samsung 850 pro?
No there really hasnt been any big leap for a while now. I dont mean a new monitor. I mean some new technology or big leap in performance that is coming out in the next few months,
I have nevr had an IPS monitor is hope the glow doesnt bother me. I wont know until i try. But its an expensive trial.
The PG348Q is not my cup of tea. I dont want curved or ultra wide.
MY main concern is something newer and better will be released in a couple months time. I could definitly...
Is there any reason why I shouldn't buy the Asus PG279Q? I play games FPS and MMORPG's. Should I buy another monitor instead? M GPU is a EVGA GTX 1070 SC
IT seems that most IPS high end monitors specifically the Asus ROG PG279Q have alot of back light bleed. Many reports of people returning monitors and that it is a lottery getting one with minimal BLB. It seems that even without BLB there is a IPS glow. I know IPS is better picture quality but...
I know there is nothign wrong with that. I meant i want to know website that gives up to date information about monitors etc. Like how we have websites that tell us about up and coming technology.
Is there a good website that gives you up to date information on monitors and upcoming releases of new tech monitors etc. Seems like the monitors people recommend are jsut monitors that were released a few years ago. There must be new ones coming out. What site would tell me stuff like that?
The back light blled on IPs monitors are a huge concern and happen very often. I would hate to buy it and have to go through the pain and frustration of having to return it.
Also, if i only get 60 fps in games max would there be any difference between a 60hz and 144hz monitor at that point?
That is not the same as "1440p" today. I rememeber reading the differences but dont remember them. I am not a pro at this jsut starting somethings. I loved my old CRT monitor. I felt the colors were betters etc
I bought a EVGA Supernova 850 P2. Very highly rated. You cant go wrong with this. if you are using only 1 graphics card you could get the Supernova 650 or 750 P2 and save a few bucks. a 650 is more than enough for one GPU especially the newer gpu's that use less electricty.
EVGA has given me free cross shipping advanced RMA. However they are taking their sweet time approving my RMA and shipping it out. I got my RMA number on Nov 10. 5 days later the GPU is still not shipped. I am not pleased about this considering this is their fault and I am getting nothing out...
Recommend a gaming monitor for me. I have a 6600k, 16gb ddr 4 3000mhz, GTX 1070 SC. I play all kind of games from MMO to first person shooting. I heard the common issue is whether to get a 1440p monitor with 144hz TN panel or even IPS panel. Or get a 4k with 60hz IPS panel. Im honestly not sure...
Now it is going to cost me about $50 to ship it back to them and probably a 3 week wait. Insane that they dont cover shipping on defective prodcuts. This is my first gpu problem ever and will probably not buy evga anymore because of this shipping policy so they lost a customer for life.
Ok i eat my words. I removed the GPU and the comptuer started up....... Thank you for pointing this out to me as I have no idea why a faulty gpu would prevent a computer from powering up at all. Damn EVGA gtx 1070. Going to take weeks to RMA from Canada. Sigh. Spend $600 on a gpu that lasts 2...
Going to try a few things in the morning. Remove my gpu and try to boot. Put my ram in the 2nd and 4th slot instead of 1st and 3rd slots. The SSD i removed since you dont need an SSD or HDD for the computer to power/have the fans spin etc.Hopefully i can pin point my problem before i have to...
The components i reused from my old build are the optical drive and the SDD. My mother board is the asus z170-a.
I will try removing the video card in the morning. I just dont feel like its th card at all.
The G skil lwas the Ripjaws and it as 3000 not 3200. I am having a roblem now that my computer still wont power on after all new parts.

Ok so my computer crashed after 4 years with no warning signs or anything. Temps/speeds/voltages were always fine as I monitored them regularily. I as in the middle of a game and just shut off and never turned on again. I would turn off the PSU and then turn it on and push power and it would...
I didn't upgrade my system to a 6600k because i wanted the small increase in power. I was forced to upgrade because my computer died on me and i needed a new motherboard or cpu either of which which would then make me need new ram and a mobo/cpu..... The exact opposite of what my comment was...
IMO a 10% increase in speed is not something to brag about and is not a good upgrade. Many have been conditoned by the money hungry corporations to think that 10% is a great worthwhile upgrade. Its not. And its those people who are the reason why we are only getting 10% increases every year or two.
Ok so my computer died and I was forced to buy a 6600k and z170 board. I was upset because i wanted to wait for cannonlake etc but I coulnt go without a computer. So with these results I shouldnt feel so bad correct? The cpus coming out in January arent much of an improvement over the 6600k correct?
Well its going to really bother me buying new cpu mobo when a new cpu arcithecture is being released in 2 months. Itll get under my skin especially since prices will drop for the 6600k soon as well when they get released. I just read that i can get a z170 mobo that supports ddr3. That would...
MY computer died and could I need to get a new cpu, mobo and ram now. I have been out of the market for 4 years so i need advice on what to get. Im upset that im reading that good things are coming in january or febuary but I cant wait, So what cpu should I buy? I game mainly.
Is it better to get a 4k monitor with 60hz or run a 1440p monitor at 144hz if you are getting a constant 130-140 fps in games? Like you wont be really noticing improvement over 120 fps right? So would it look nicer if you could run 4k at a constant 60 fps or 130 fps on a 144hz on a 1440p?
The point is those speeds dont seem to make any difference in real world use from a regular fast SSD. Only in benchmarks. If it does I would like to buy one.
