I did unplug all the mechanical drives and also removed the video card to look it over. So maybe that had an effect. If I keeps working ok I will just leave it. Like I said I would really rather wait until sometime in 2015 when hopefully 8 core Intel cpu's are out before any major rebuild.
Well I ran the western Digital Data lifeguard program it it says all mechanical drives seem to be fine. I also ran the Intel SSD toolbox full test on the 2 SSD drives both show good.

Yes me too. I usually doa format and reinstall. If i end up doing that i will make a copy of the c drive after all programs installed so if it happens again it will be easy to start over.
