I got one from them and it turned out to be a Geforce 2 GTS Pro with 64mb of ram. Pretty stoked, but it did not include the disc with the drivers and utilities on it.
I have a 1 ghz with a MSI Pro 2 A. Took it up to 1250 with multiplier then backed it off to 1200 and upped FSB to 104. Seems to be pretty stable. Haven't done a lot of testing yet.
I'm using a Fop 38. I bit loud, but I wanted to be able to overclock. Next I need to put a blue orb on my chipset to cool that off a bit and maybe I will be able to break 1250 mhz.
To do mine I took apart a wooden closepin and then took the fan of the heat sink. Then I was able to slide the close pin down in the slot in the heat sink and push down the mounting strap. Latch it, remount the fan and your done.

Tonight I will be putting together my new computer. I know I need to update my bios. I'm running Win98, are there any other drivers I need to update: i.e Via 4in1 or anything else? Any help would be appreciated as this is the first computer I have built.
Does anyone out there use the C-Fan header with a hsf such as the GlobalWin FOP 38. I've read several article that say don't and I was just wondering what you guys think. I would prefer to use the fan header, but not at the cost of the mobo.
If it defaults to 1.85 is that the voltage it will get until the bios kicks in and sets the voltage at whatever I have set it at? I guess what I am really asking is: Do I need to connect the L7 bridges to get the best performance out of my t-bird with a MSI Pro 2A?
I got mine from Allstar.com. Took a few days to get it shipped as they were trying to verify my shipping address with my CC company. As soon as I got it straightened out I got it the next day.
I"m assuming, by what has been written that since I am running Windows 98 I won't need to upgrade the ATA driver from Soltek's site as that is only necessary if you are running Win2K. Am I correct in that assumption?

when you overclock a chip the settings stay in the bios on the motherboard. Nothing is written on the CPU so if you put in another motherboard you will need to again set the multiplier.
I'm not sure exactly when they will be out, but be aware that they will command a higher price. Also, remember that the first round of mobos with a new chipset often suffer problems. It usually takes a revision or two to get them right.

that shouldn't be a problem. I just bought an MSI K7T Pro 2A. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't recognize it nayway. However I will be flashing the bios as soon as I get it up and running if it does not currently have the latest version.

what program should I use to install my drive? I am building a new system and the drive came with no manuel or programs. Am I correct in assuming that this drive is preset to run at ATA 100 if the board supports it?

Three questions. If you set the memory to autodetect and raise to FSB to say 105 will the memory setting go up by 5 as well? For instance. I have PC133 so the autodetect should set the memory clock at 133. If I raise the FSB to 105 will the memory then be raised to 108? If you set the memory...
