I have been doing that and my graphics score looks spot on. I'm presuming the CPU score doesn't have as much of an impact in the newer tests.
Based on what I get in all the other tests I was expecting around p18000 in 3Dmark 11

After recently upgrading to a Fury Nitro I've been running various benchmarks (as you do) and getting some satisfactory results. The only one that doesn't seem to be anywhere near were it should be is the 3DMark 11 score.

I5 2500k@4.4gig
MSI P67 GD65 (B3)
8 Gig 1333hz...

Yeah, mine runs silent and cool too, despite a little bit of coil whine (which seems to be in a few select things and hardly noticeable)
I've got it overclocked to 1100 mhz and getting decent FPS. Great card.

I've installed mine (had to update BIOS to latest because it wouldn't post)
So far I'm pretty happy but there are a few issues:
I get some coil whine when benching/ gaming but everything seems stable at least.
I also get bad 3dmark 11 scores (12700)...

ps I'm reluctant to update the BIOS just yet as I have heard that it cripples the SandyBridge OC settings to allow for IvyBridge

I'm looking to swap out my hot and loud R9 290 (reference) that I bought at release. I love the card and it's served me well but I've got the upgrade bug now and want to get another GPU.
I usually aim for long term when buying a card (2+ years) so I normally get high end or close to high end...
So does that mean Nvidia are still just as efficient as AMD with Dx12 despite Async Compute and all the fuss is just nonsense? That's good to know.
I might just get a 1070 then as DX12 won't make any difference
I was under the impression that because Nvidia have yet to correctly utilise Async compute in their GPU's it's hindering their performance in DX12 making them less efficient.
Guess I was wrong and that there isn't any lack of support and they are on par with AMD. Good news.

My longer term plans are to upgrade everything. My first upgrade will be the video card followed by my CPU, MB and memory early next year.
I am aware there may be a bottleneck upgrading my GPU but at the moment I don't always get 60+ fps. Upgrading to a 1070...
I currently get almost bang on 60fps average in Fallout 4 on Ultra. My 290 screams it's head off at 100% usage and a flat line constant 947 clock speed (cap) So no bottleneck there. Coincidently I used to get 40fps until I installed the Crimson driver.
Which isn't far off from this...
I'm not fighting their advice, I appreciate the input. CPU bottlenecking isn't black and white and people have different results which become subjective rather than objective.

My expectations are that a 1070 will push my fps between 60 and 130 on most games. 144hz isn't achievable on most games (maxed out) even with a 6700k, it's just a cap you aim for.

Yes, that's sound advice, thanks. It's exactly what my common sense is saying. But I am impatient and had it in my head that I was just about to jump on the 1070 bandwagon. Then the doubt settled in....
Sorry, I though you may have already heard of it. I'm referring to it as a RX 490 as that was what AMD listed it as (It may have a new name) It's not yet confirmed whether it will be a Polaris or Vega based chip but it will certainly be competing with the 1070 especially with the DX12 boost...

I believe there are other factors involved for this. For a game to perform 60% slower due to a CPU bottleneck then the CPU would have to be much worse than a Sandybridge.
