Stop Android processes from starting up in background?

I'm pretty sure that you can't disable any app. The apps that can be disabled are always pre-installed. Rooting is the obvious answer. Then use titanium backup, greenify or something else.

The honor 8 is a good phone with OK to good battery life and it has a better camera than the moto z play. But the battery life isn't that good (I have a huawei p9 and so I'm assuming the battery life on the honor 8 is similar as their specs are almost identical).

nexus 5x bugs... anyone have these issues? why can't google make a phone that does the basics right

So far the SD625 seems like a real winner, I've seen it being praised for it's performance on the huawei nova and especially on the moto z play. Also, it's very power efficient and seems to be overall a much better soc than the SD615/617. I really want a moto z play atm and I'm super jealous :)

Help choose between Xperia Z5 compact vs Xperia X compact

The performance of the 650 is very similar to the SD808, which was used the lg g4 which has a quad HD screen. Since the compact x is only hd it should perform very well so I would get it over the z and get the extra ram and hopefully more android updates because it's newer.

The huawei mate 9 is apparently going to have a 4000mAh battery. Its screen is big at 5 .9" but the battery is still relatively large (not including Chinese low/mid rangers with massive batteries).

I use tasker but it's the only automation app I've used very much. Automagic is another one that might be worth looking into. I did check it out briefly and it has a very different UI from tasker. It seems a little more user friendly because it has a catalogue of profiles that you can use...

I have a p9 and I'm pretty happy with it. Very smooth and responsive (using nova launcher). I'm not a big gamer but yeah not the strongest GPU in benches. Framerates are pretty much the same as the SD820 if the SD820 is pushing 2K. On the other hand samsung phones can reduce their resolution...

You could buy a wireless charging pad for your s6. Or I guess, an lg g5 and charge the removable battery separately with a battery charger. Edit: or a lg g4.

Looking for smallish phone with modern SoC

Xperia Z3 compact is old but I remember it had amazing battery life. It runs a SD801, 3000mah battery vs SD810, 2700mah on the z5 compact. The huawei p9 lite is a good deal in the UK but I don't know if it's available in the US and it's probably too big but I know it runs a kirin 650.

My Initial Experience w/Moto G4 Plus

I just got a huawei P9 and my speaker is the same. If it's quiet content and my speaker is on max I can't hear it clearly and I haven't found a way to fix it with an app. Maybe I could root it and find an xposed module that helps but idk, I'm a nub and I'm scared I might brick my phone.
