Role Playing Game Suggestions for Newbie

If you are just starting, the simpler the better. The D&D games can get complex with multiple side quests, etc., except for Icewind Dale which is, as said, fairly linear. My wife eased her way into RPG's with Might & Magic 6 (the better of the latest 3, IMHO). If you have any consoles...

The Sims...ARGH!

I had sound card problems do the exact thing you are describing. I had to reinstall my drivers for for my card and the game ran fine after that.

Sidewinder Game voice, any luck in online gameing?

I have one, but have not used it much yet. I am curious though, what games are you experiencing troubles with? I would like to try it out on those to see if I get the same lag.

does anybody know any good websites to buy computer games and console games really really cheap?

I do not about console games, but for PC, I have found Compuexpert to be fairly cheap. They have on average, better prices, but they also offer some great deals in their 48 madness.

Thoughts on the Oni Demo?

The controls definately suck. Hopefully they will be remappable with the final game. If not, I am going to be sadly disappointed. If they are though, I think the game will control great. The game seems like it will be fun to play with the combo attacks and such. However, I hope the levels...

Help me decide on a new game

If performance is an issue, I would say Giants and Alice and out immediately. So, I think your best bets are Conquerors or Mech4. Mech4 is not much different from previous offerings, so it is whether or not you love the series. Conquerors should give you the best performance and provide lots...
