I feel like this is a really stupid question, but how on earth do I equip my G36C with the silencer I unlocked? I thought it would be like the flashlight and optics that are automatically 'applied' to your gun, but I don't see any indication that it has done so (eg my gun doesnt sound like it...

40"-46" HD 3DTV. Plasma or LED? ~$1,100

I just got a Bravia 46HX729 from eastcoasttvs.com for $1200, and it has far exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is stunning, and it has built-in wifi for netflix, amazon, hulu, etc.

problem with Trendnet gigabit switch...but green light indicates it should be working

Thanks for the suggestion. As it turns out, it appears to have been the fact that I was going through my NAS' web interface. Once I mounted it as an AFP share drive in Finder, I was able to transfer at about 70MB/s.

Ugh. I uninstalled iTunes, restarted, reinstalled, and am still having issues! Really lame. I just can't believe this is a hardware issue... I even rebooted into WinXP and installed iTunes there but no dice.

Hmm Thanks for the suggestion, but I went ahead and deleted the hosts file (even though it didnt have the gs.apple.com line in it) and rebooted OSX but I am still getting the same error. FWIW I can ping gs.apple.com and it responds (albeit pretty slowly with ~700ms ping)

Flash on mobile devices.

True, but maybe the sheer number of devices that don't support flash (or only do so pretty poorly) will prompt the shift away from flash. At a certain point it was time to dump the floppy disc even though it was widely used...

Uh did you not read the articles posted? The whole point was that people are expecting the sales numbers to fall short of expectations (hence the stock drop and analyst downgrade). In addition, the second article also mentioned the fact that the price has already been reduced.

I agree. On the one hand I would love a widescreen tablet for movie watching, but I think when you want it to handle ebook, web browsing, email, etc, a non-widescreen form factor would be best.

For their sake I would think earlier in the year would be better. By March Apple probably will already have announced v2 of the iPad, and I wouldn't be surprised if it saw a price drop to $399 for the low-end model....not to mention the likelihood of a front-facing camera, other features, etc.

It's definitely annoying but it really isn't anything new. Just think back to the old PC-Mac or PC-Linux debates of old (not that those don't still go on). Not to mention Vi and Emacs lol. I just wish more folks would realize that while they are entitled to their opinion on which smartphone...

Wonder how much Apple has shaken up the cell phone industry?

I don't think that is the case. I say that because those bars represent entire years, and Apple made $5.3 billion this last quarter on the iPhone alone.....that makes me think the chart is representing iPhone revenues separately from the company.
