Leadtek Winfast Geforce 2 Pro 32MB ?

I'm about to buy a new video card to replace my TNT2 card. I can't decide whether to get the Leadtek Geforce 2 Pro 32MB for $133, or the Radeon LE for $73 Which one will give the better graphics and speed?

Me and a friend each got a computer from the same place, They both had a MSI Pro2-A motherboard. A few months after I got the computer, I was using it and it locked up, then it woulden't post. It gave no beeps or anything, and I tried taking everything out, but nothing workd. So I took it...

What kind of drivers did you install? Were they for your video card? You might want to try reinstalling the drivers, or, reinstalling the originals.

can't load wininit.exe

I had a problem kind of like that on my Win98 system...I had the Bymer worm and I deleted some of the files that were part of the worm. But I believe that I also deleted my wininit file...but somehow I fixed it by also deleting all the files that had to do with that program, like, wininit.ini...

Post problem

Ok, I'm posting this message for a friend.this has happend to me twice, and now it has happend to my friends computer. Everything is working fine, then, the computer freezes, and when you reboot it, it won't post. No beeps, nothing. He has tried everything, taking everything out, resetting...

I few weeks ago found the bymer worm on my computer.:( Now that I have decided to run the real client on my computer, can I use the buff-out.ogr file that the worm created and flush it? It has 15 work units in it.

stats help

How can I see my stats? I have flushed two ORG work units, but when I type in my email it doesn't show any info. Also, how do I get a password? I'm very new to this so I don't really know what I'm doing :)

over 70

My fan runs at about 5700 RPM, not sure about the HS. When idle, the temp is about 64c. Can I even trust the readings?

My CPU temp runs over 70c when playing games like serious sam. Is that too hot? I haven't noticed any lockups or anything like that. I have a 900 MHz CPU, and a K7T MSI Turbo Motherboard.

Right now I have the TNT2 32MB video card. Is it worth spending $100 on a voodoo 5? Would there be any big difference in games like Unreal and serious sam?

I've tried everything, NOTHING works. I've uninstalled/reinstalled all drivers, gone into the BIOS..everything. I've even called tech support..they coulden't help. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? Windows doesn't seem to see any conflicts..

I've just had my Microstar K7T Pro2-a motherboard replaced with the MSI K7T Turbo. Before I replaced it, the sound worked fine, but after it was replaced it won't work. All the drivers seem to be ok, but when I goto sound in the control panel, you can't click on any of them. And anytime I try...

This also happends when I try to burn a data CD, now I've noticed that it works fine at burning older data CD-ROMS at 8x, but on most newer ones it gives me an error reading cd. Is this some copy protection?

You're right, I can copy from my HD at 12x. But I want to be able to copy on the fly, it's so much faster, even at 8x. Now though, it seems that I can copy on the fly at 8x; but not on all CDs. When it says "error reading CD" is that some kind of copy right protection? Also, what...

The only problem I have with my Plextor right now is that I can't seem to burn a music CD at 12x. My CD-ROM is 52x, so that can't be the problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

It's at that speed pretty constantly, it's also at that speed in Netscape. The problem seems to be with Getright.

I don't believe it's any of those. I'm downloading from the same server. When I'm using Getright, I'm only downloading one file. And I know it's not Internet trafic. I'm downloading Linux from an FTP, and when I download it from the IE browser, it goes alot faster than when I download it in...

Use AVP, believe me, it's the best for detecting viruses. McAfee and Norton are more popular, but that does not mean they are the best.

Getright ?

When I use getright, my download speed is about 4k, but when I don't use it, the download speed is about 14k a sec. Anyone know why?

Netscape or Internet Explorer For New Computer?

I use IE, Netscape always locks up and causes different problems for me. IE is also faster, for me anyway.
