hello, just a quick question without needing to start a new thread.
if i get a radeon 7600 (8x pci) on this 3.0 pci board, will it limit performence?
or did putting the 5600G in make it pci 4.0?
thanks!
this has happened before with AMD. im actually a conspiracy theorist on this, it may be possible that some people have gotten money and looking the other way to sabotage their own products against a brand. people in here will notice if a cooler is not making proper contact, but most users will...
i realize that. i just think its odd that AMD approved it to market with 100c being "normal"
also funny how drivers can effect heat on a chip that much, but what do i know?
sorry about all the dumb questions, but why am i getting so low single threaded scores in cpu-z?
X4 950 on the left, Ryzen 2400G and 5600G on the right.
hello, i just now got advice from toms hardware forums to change from UEFI to CSM boot. now suddenly the computer works.
wierd, i ran the same bios for a few weeks before i got the cpu and everything worked, when i put the new cpu in it changed to UEFI for some reason and refused to boot.
but...
ok. eventually i installed the 5600G and now the computer is in a eternal loop booting into bios.
at first boot it showed it detected the cpu. now it shows just a msi logo and straight into bios.
so i reset bios defaults twice, no difference.
also it shows 0 rpm on cpufan yet it is moving. does...
did reset and unchecked/checked smart fan option. no difference.
werid how before i could run multiple video streams at once and bearly hear the computer. now it revs up and down just by looking at this still browser window.
cant find any fan settings in AMD Adrenalin. oh well guess there is...
ok i just updated the bios and now suddenly the CPU fan is noisy, i could hardly hear the computer being turned on before! i ditched the old windows drivers and set the new ones to "power saving" or whatever its name is in english. no difference.
checked the bios, CPU smart fan is ON.
CPU is at...
yes ofcourse, im just seeing some reports saying this generation cpus are not always working when the updated bios is suppose to support it. so i was just wondering the reason why and if others have had issues with it.
Hello, i have a cheap MSI board with a 2400G. i was thinking of getting the 5600G and automatically thought i needed a newer gen MB. to my surprise i noticed MSI now lists 5600G as supported:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-GRENADE/support#cpu
but im not sure i trust it? iv seen others...
deal with the price increase. it seems most were okay when intel charged high prices for their cpus, but now that the performence looks to be om amds side, amd raises its prices a little, and people start crying foul and loose their minds? lol
which is why i buy $60-70 motherboards. works great for a year or so and i dont have to buy the top of the line previous gen to squeeze the money out of it.
So a Star Citizen backer were running numbers in a bid to figure out how the backer numbers are skewed/inaccurate. His conclusion:
https://massivelyop.com/2020/10/19/star-citizen-has-720k-total-backers-and-34k-subscribers-according-to-gathered-public-data/
75% of 2.8m accounts are non-backers...
intel consumer revenue is "only" a quarter of their business and their profits have gone up in the past 3-4years i believe. they dont really care that much. not about being lazy.
having owned both ipads and iphones, no matter how fast the cpu is, apple will find a generous way to slow your equipment to molasses within 1-2years. will never buy any apple product again. updates forced on me ruined it all.
you should all smoke DMT and buy AMD redacted!

It contained profanity, and it was simply trolling.

i case your not aware, W10 may be the biggest spyware in history. which is probably the only reason modern equipment is moving away from 7/8.
would you let me install cameras and microphones in your home? no? i promise im not going to use it unless there is "probable" cause of you committing a...
is it indicated in the product code/label?
so if it doesnt work it will usually be unstable as you go up, or chance of frying the memory, but not the memory controller right?
i heared people are able to overclock 2400mhz memory to even over 3ghz, with some samsung sourced kits atleast. anyone got a few words on that regarding am4 or where can i get more spesific info?
surprised by no win7 drivers. even more so considering people running igpu is more likely to use it as an office computer where its also likely its running 7 and not 10.
and if you are not interested in the gpu part, but still want a slightly updated ryzen architecture you must go win10.
how...
why did they choose the stealth cooler on a $99 cpu, where you annoyingly have to unplug everything in your computer and screw the backplate. x4 950 consumes twice as much power and it gets the simplest one.
if i remember correctly, previous AMD APU`s significantly clocked down the cpu when gpu power was needed. so performence could be worse than the ryzen they are replacing in certain conditions?
well not sure i can get all the client correspondance, accounting software info etc. ported painless to a new OS. not even sure it the software supports it. its not uncommen to find 10-15 year old systems in even major companies. because it works :)
i see AMD has chipset drivers for win7, even though they said it were officially not supported.
but only 64bit, what would happen on 32bit? with my spare office computers i always just clone the drive from the old machine to the new. using windows repair utility or "boot with dissimilar...
funny how X4/A12 maxed out 43fps in Hitman and 40fps in Ashes of the Singularity, on a 1080ti?
so your not getting even fair gaming performence regardless of how much you spend on surrounding components.
i thought x4 860k was better than that but my memory may be playing tricks...
i heard the x4-950 is actually the a12 or similar with the gpu disabled only, and therefore teeny tiny die with no real benefit in pure cpu performence between the two?
