What software do you use for wireless scanning?

Curious on what open source/other decent software is out on the market. I currently have a Netgear 54g PCI card that comes with pretty cruddy software and was hoping there were better alternatives out there. I did a search on "wireless" but came up with nothing. Your help is greatly...

It opens randomly between 4-5pm ET, it's not a set time. I didn't get an email either, and from what I see it doesn't seem like anyone did. I did get the prize confirmation email though, which didn't ask for my credit card number or anything oddly enough.

Issue with Divx and S-Video Out (movies not showing up on TV) Help needed.

Yes I found out that works as well, however when I "unextend" the desktop, I have to go and switch the output to display identical to the LCD, rather than extended...so it ends up being a pain either way :)

Thanks for the help, oddly I am unable to set the TV to primary, but I found a setting in the ATI Mobility Radeon software that let me activate it.... I appreciate the help :) Thanks!

Hello, I currently have a Compaq laptop that I am attempting to get working with Divx and S-Video output. DVDs, Games, Applications output fine, however when I attempt to run Divx movies (using both Windows Media Player and the Divx Player) they play fine on my Laptop LCD, however they do not...

Anyway to download individual divx codes along with instruc. on where to place them (no installer)

Looking to download individual codec files along with a description on where to place them /system32/.... etc etc. I cannot use an installer that leaves a key in the registry ala Divx 5.0.4. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for that informative post :) I actually already have a 850mhz Thunderbird so I don't need a chip. I'm just looking for an older board that only will support around that range of mhz. I remember when they were first around, most of the Thunderbird boards only supported up to like 1ghz...

Thanks for the info....priced the boards people reccomended and they seem to run about 40.00 or so. I'd be happy with a cheapy 25.00 mobo to so if anyone else has more input it'd be appreciated.

I'm having no luck unfortunately.....I'm hoping that the SVIDEO to RCA adapter is bad, I'm going to get another from Radio Shack tomarrow. Thanks for all your input everyone and I'll keep you updated on the status.

Perfect info :) I have a spare stick of PC133, and my sister needs no more than the 256mb it provides. Hopefully I can research this board a bit more tomarrow and find a used version for cheap on the various FS/FT forums. Thanks for the input :)

When can we expect the radeon 9700 pro price drop?

Yes, and no. BestBuy in Holyoke MA still sells the 9700 @ 399.99. Circuit city, right near BB sells it at 299.99. Had the CSR check the price @ BB too....was suprised that the computer still refelcts the high price.

Yeah, I have a fairly simple (though brandnew) 13in TV in my office. Toshiba TV that uses RCA input. I am using the S-Video converter that comes with the card (SVIDEO to RCA)

Sadly none of the above options worked :( Every option but DVI is greyed out and unselectable, including Clone. I've tried 800x600, I've tried the reccomended instructions on NVIDIA's website (power down, hook up svideo, unhook monitor) book up with only TV hooked up. Nothing is working and...

Anyone get it to work? I am attempting to get it running on my GF4 Ti4200, but it does not seem to output. I know TV's need a resolution of 640x480 to display properly, however the f*****g card only lets me drop the max res to 800x600. WTF gives? I've downloaded the NVIEW software as well to see...

Help on figuring out what manf made my Pacific Digital Mach 52x burner?

If you have a P, I would bet it's a BTC, like mine. You'll notice a manufact. name on the bottem right of the top of the drive. Mine said "Top-Glory" or "Top-G", which is the chinese subsidiary of BTC. Drive got crap reviews from just about everyone, but what can you expect for 9.99...

thank you for the info Scrap, much to my sadness according to the forum whores over at CDRLABS, my drive (Top-G, AKA BTC) is pretty much garbage, aside from the "mediatek" chipset it has. I'm going to give it it's fair chance though :)

I just opened it, and it seems to be a "top-g" drive. Seaching CDRLABS on top-g give awful reviews :( Oh well, can't expect much for 9.99 I guess

120GB MAXTOR @ BESTBUY for 99.00 AR ($85 for preferred cust. *this weekend)

It's a normal diamondmax 120gig in a 100 gig box. This wouldn't be very hot if it were only 100gb, however being 120gb for 99.00 makes this well worth my while. I now have almost 400gb of storage lol :)
