I just noticed that his current listings are all 1 day auctions. Last week they were longer. I suspect this is the last time he'll be listing under this id. Anyone think there's any point in trying to warn eBay?
Right on. :) But most of what this guy sells is porn.
His id is '*elgreco*'. Look at how his feedback is from buying cheap recipes. Look at his latest feedback and look at that person's feedback and see how many are NARU.
Check out the auctions for *elgreco* and you see that the terms and...
Last week I bought an expensive sewing video on eBay for a gift. The guy never responded when I asked if he received my PayPal payment and when he would ship. After checking out his account I see all sorts of things that are quite suspicious. If he's a scammer I know he'll eventually get shut...
I use an app for storing all my passwords. I also use RoboForm and there is a lot of overlap between the data in the two programs. I would love to use just one program that does both.
I tried a few password managers that also do form filling. But they don't have anything comparable to the...
Best Buy pricing is terrible sometimes. They sell a GPS that I want at list price for $600. After the 10% discount it would be $540. Or I can order it from Amazon for $450.
The advantage of Tivo (and Replay I assume) is that when a show changes it's air time or length, either temporarily or permanently, it automatacally catches that and adjusts. There are other advantages to the service as well. I've had Tivo for several years and I think it's well worth the cost...
I found the following in their FAQ:
How do I determine if TaxCut supports a sole-proprietorship business return?
If you own a business, our TaxCut Premium Home and Business program can handle most partnership or corporation returns.
Kind of scary if they don't know that a partnership or...
From the site: "There are a select number of customers that may have been incorrectly informed via your installation CD that Intellisync Lite synchronization software came with your CLIE model SJ22. Unfortunately, Intellisync Lite was not shipped with the affected models. However, we value you...
According to what I've read at Amazon, that only applies that a particular range of serial numbers whose software installation accidently mentioned that Intellisync is available.
I'm very interested in the Clie. I just read a review at Amazon that says you need to buy software in order to sync to Outlook. That would kill the deal for me.
I have a Plantronics headset that plugs into my cordless phone. I don't use it because people were always complaining about the sound quality when I was speaking. I need a headset with a good mic.
I was looking at this yesterday and wondering why there are no Seagates listed. I checked out Newegg prices for Seagate and in some cases they are only $10 more than the drives listed here and that often includes free shipping.
If you use the compare feature at pcworld.com you get the following differences:
Quality of text/graphics: Dell - Good/Very good ---- Samsung - Very good/Very good
Measured horizontal viewing angle: Dell - 130 degrees ---- Samsung - 167 degrees
Rated power consumption: Dell - 75 watts...
I was referring to the same Samsung you mentioned, the 191T.
I assume this is the post you are referring to: "The Dell 1900FP, Dell 1901FP, Planar PX191, Samsung 191T and Samsung 192T are all based on the same panel."
If that's correct, does it mean all the monitors based on this panel perform...
The PC World review says: "The 1901FP rendered text best in our Microsoft Word and Excel documents; its text looked somewhat fuzzy on another screen showing various sizes of type."
The Samsung is the other monitor I'm considering. Where did you read that "the Dell 1901fp is supposed to be an...
Thanks. I was aware of that solution. It increases compatibility with DVD-ROMs at the expense of decreasing compatibility with standalone players. That isn't viable for me.
Some people have problems with DVD-R and some don't. I haven't heard a good explanation for this yet.
I have this burner. I'm currently treating it as a DVD+R/W only drive because of the problems I, and quite a few other people, have with -R media. Hopefully there will be a firmware update in the future that will solve this problem.
I've found that DVD-R burned with the Optorite won't work in my Sony player but DVD+R will. You say a lot of people also have DVD-R problems with this burner. But a lot of people don't seem to have those problems. I can take my DVD-R and they work in most other players, including different Sony...
2.17 only seems to cause problems for some users. But those problems are serious - a drive that no longer works. I didn't have a problem but I switched back anyway.
I've had the Optorite drive for a month now. I'm also finding it quite picky for media. DVD-R is supposed to be the most compatible media for standalones and the Optorite site only recommends 2 brands for this type of media. I bought some Sony DVD-R today and the drive won't even recognize it.
Thanks Ziptar. So it looks like Ritek DVD-R work well with this burner. Those discs are also supposed to work well in my DVD player. I burned the same image to DVD+RW and it works fine. So I can't figure out what the problem is.
On Optorite's site there is a page for recommended media. They list 6 +R discs and only 3 -R discs. I'm wondering if this means the drive is less compatible with -R media or that they didn't test as many of that type for some reason.
I burned my first DVD-R (Ritek G04) and it won't play in my...
