Use teamviewer in VMware, you can use it like a commercial version for free! Or you can try any desk, aeroadmin... Both are great free options for commercial use. I myself use anydesk most of the time!

Why don't they make 6-pin PCI-E connectors *optional*?

I have seen 1050ti's with a 6-pin power connector, they generally help in over clocking.

Solution to ingame stuttering / choppiness

Its your cpu thats causing a bottleneck here...try checking the cpu usage using msi afterburner and if its hitting 99 or 100% then thats your bottleneck. If you need help with msi afterburner, let me know and i will be glad to assist!

You might want to increase your fan speed to 60-70% so that you don't cross 75 degrees!

Hey, just max out all graphic settings and cap the game at 30 fps. Runs smoothly without any stutter...

You might want to upgrade your cpu though before getting a 1080...could cause bottleneck situations in some games

Acceptable idle gpu temperatures

My gigabyte gtx 1080 idles at around 43 degrees Celsius and during load it used to cross 75 degrees. Then I just opened up the Gigabyte Xtreme Application, set a custom fan curve and that helped a lot to bring down the temps! Now, under load the gpu does not go above 65 degrees

What's a good upgrade for GTX 560ti?

I would suggest Nvidia GTX 1050 TI, retails at around 140 to 180 dollars. Would be a great upgrade since it doesn't even need a connection to your psu!
