well, it's gotten way OT now but I can't resist...
The bad news is twofold:
1. you probably can't get the name plate off without making it look crap.
2. now I (and I suspect many others too) am laughing at you for worrying about what your friends think in this regard.
The good news is folded...
too bad TV output is 1024x768. that is the deal breaker for me or I would have been in my car in 10 minutes to go check for this.
I'm no expert buy I think that this output resolution for the TV means you will not be able to see entire screen at once on TV. It will scroll most likely to see...
use the "custom" picture mode then within that is a "cold" or "warm" setting .... as well as many others... this is from memory. I agree with others that the factory defaults push the reds too, too much. So do many other models I noticed while shopping. They must feel it gives better notice...
I bought this tv a few weeks ago. I too confirm it is the exact same as the Samsung mentioned above. Also confirming only one S-Video input. Get the pdf of the Samsung manual here
It is a very nice TV. There is a short thread on the board about the wallet which is of larger than normal...
It really is innovative design. Needs more modularity. I LMAO when the first imac came out. Everyone was like "what a bold new vision incorporating everything in one package".... yeah, that was the bold new vision that we did away with in the 80s to move toward modularity and something less...
looks like my hot deal is dead already as I don't see them now either...
it was on the second page of three of the binocs and stuff here
here
i don't see it anymore though... just 7x50s and a few others... the 12x50 and 10x50 both seem to be gone... sorry
are you sure the buy.com deal has free shipping today? when I click on the link about shipping it says that it will qualify if I buy 2 or more of the unit...
did I miss something?

Merry X-Mas!!
You guys may have already seen the cameraworld sale notice over at t'bargns. I didn't look around too much but they have some minolta binoculars for up to 50% off. Note that some are open box, etc... They activa 12x50 are new though. I thought I'd put it up here as I see posts...
Well, I've watched enough sam's deals go by as I wasn't a club member. This one was good enough that I joined just to buy it. I know I'll use it again. Even adding the price of membership it's still a good price for the drive.
Thanks for the headsup....
Oh.... Albany, NY washington ave ext...
I ordered the 50x cd and the modem from the web. Last I checked, this morning, both still listed as "inv" or whatever it is. I was kind of expecting a cancellation.... or a long wait ala the iomega drive I got from compusa over the holidays, then the fedex truck pulled up with the...
I was a little worried as I followed my order as it hadn't actually shipped.. just in process. I was kind of expecting a cancellation maybe. The site is also a bit of a pain. You have to make sure you're in the product section to sign into your account.
Today though I got e-mail which stated...
Thanks for the deal SF guy! I went ahead and just did the allbusiness deal too. Not too much difference with tax and less hassle. I also picked up a netgear fa310tx nic for $18 and change. Seemed a good price with free shipping from what I saw on pricewatch. I only forgot the cable :-(...
ok... i guess I'm just a simple bastard. I've been looking at the web site for about 30 minutes trying to see where I print or otherwise redeem any rebate for these items. I cannot find it. Just a little message promising me it's there comes up when I click the "rebate" link from...
During the big deal with these drives with compusa it was discovered that iomega had switched oem suppliers. Or, perhaps was using more than one. The last I was keeping track it seemed like a switch to me.
The newer drives were/perhaps are being made by sanyo instead of plextor. Search and...
I just got one from them about a week ago. I had forgotten about it. It had been that long. Mine was a check, of course, which was not in any envelope of any sort. The check was mailed bare with the bulk postage mark in the corner. I couldn't believe it. Maybe that's why lots of people...
Latham NY B&M was emphatic that they could not do this though their shelves were chock full of the drives. Jr manager spent some time on phone with store General Manager and answer was no.
I'm of course referring to filling my web site order with in store stock.
good luck
Well, the title says it all. I stopped in Best Buy Albany NY to see if they had restocked the 20pack cdr imation deal. They hadn't. So I'm futzing with a laptop in the same isle and a drone comes buy and changes the price sticker on the 10 pack to $2.49. I smile to myself and pickup the last...
Thanks Bob...
I guess I didn't dig deep enough on the pixie site to see it (or maybe just didn't notice it staring right at me).
True on the driver side; but, I like to have windows know what's going on especially as i set this up on friends system and encourage them to play around with it to...
I got my monitor the next day. :-)
I also ordered the monitor wipes (from that little popup of accessories..it's nice to see retail figure out how impulse shopping might be done online isn't it) and had them delivered in a seperate shipment.
The monitor is model 770c I see nothing on pixie...
nctiger... if you read the rebate form you'll see it is for either of two items. One explicitly mentioned is the sku you refer to and is the one that everyone is ordering I would guess. Don't take my word for it, always read the rebate fully for yourself. It's certainly the one I ordered two...
I used the 40 off 150 just a couple hours ago. I think this is a great deal. I believe this is the same unit compusa used to badge as thier standard 17" monitor. I know it's not the best; but, I got that compusa one for a couple of non computer friends that I put systems together for and...
