I'm tyring to remove some codecs off windows xp through control panel > sound and multimedia devices > video codecs. When I click on remove it prompts me to make sure I want to remove them but then when I close the window and come back the codec is still there. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

There isn't a big difference between FAT32 and NTFS in win2k IMO, I have used both. I'm pretty sure Win98 machines won't see those NTFS partitions over a network, so if that matters to you, use FAT32.
Hmmm odd. If you go back to the original setup does it still work? If it does just try adding the third HD and leaving the jumper settings on the first two drives alone. Then go from there.
Well you can still boot into linux right? You just cant get the GUI but you don't need it. Just read the readme for the drivers. Prolly something like rpm -i name-of-drivers.rpm.
Alright now this is plain odd. The computer booted up all the way this time. The only thing that I did differenly was that the computer was powered down, not just rebooted. Anyone have any idea why that fixed it?
