As it's an Asrock board, the UBU toolkit might work. But as said before, the 2686V3 only goes to 2.8GHz with the mod (and 2.9 if you OC the BCLK to 105).

What controls Turbo Core in Xeons?

From what I gather, any Asrock board work, as their bios is easier to edit. On Asus you would have to do it manually as described previously in this topic. I don't know what's possible, for now I've seen 12-14 core cpus get their max 3-3.3GHz turbo on all cores. Only one other 2686V3 owner...

In CPUZ the MT bench scores 24523 with highest core VID 1.044. I don't see a reason for throttling, as temperatures stay below 50 during any short bench, and around 55 when rendering for a longer period. When rendering though, multi drops to 24x. Still higher than before, but not by that much...

What controls Turbo Core in Xeons?

So, I have kind of succeeded with my Asrock X99 WS and E5-2686V3 (QS). I only get 28 multiplier max on all cores. Any ideas what I might check or try to improve this? edit: HWiNFO64 was showing the multipliers all over. CPU-Z shows stable 28x during rendering both in Cinebench and Corona Render.

Kind of stuck on step 4. There are two .efi file steps with booting. So should I boot once from the github shell.efi, and then from the V3.efi in order, or just pick one of them? And which one of the microcodes should I use (or how to determine which would be better?)
