Nah-ah... sorry, but that just won't do... mistakes like this really don't fly in this line of work, or more like calling, that is to be a part of the Anandtech Forums.
You have admittedly and quite publicly made an erroneous remark, so you shall be labelled and forever remembered as such, the...
Wow, reading this thread was like an enhanced trip through la la land. Thanks @jpiniero for the first sober comment.
When forum readers can't fathom what inventory/channel management is and why is it crucial for a company, that's no biggie, but Cal Jeffrey from Techspot should really have a...
I'm gonna tell you why I think that Pixel Pat is doing a horrific job: he speaks the average dev's language, he has the charisma and the pull, he successfully managed to revitalize the internal morale even though I thought it was impossible. BUT....... At the same time he not only just didn't...
but it (Zen 4) finally brought that real freq jump that everybody was hoping for about the 2 other launches, we shouldn't exclude that from the equasion :)
If you're not trying to be sarcastic or disingenuous here, then please reconsider calling 'nearly the entire forum' an AMD echo chamber. Might add at least a tiny bit of much needed actual value and sense to your posts in this thread, where you decided to wander waaaaaaaaay too deep into OP's...
At least you're keeping the fun alive here in this thread, even long after OP got a concussion after running headfirst into a couple of walls with full speed. I really like your resolve!
You got it all backwards... getting higher results with Zen4 is not because of setting up the system right or better.
Better results for AMD hardware are just glitches.
And might as well lose a couple times more of that in the power consumption difference in a year but hey, who cares about power in the middle of an energy crisis inducing actual war in Europe?
Compared to what exactly? Because Zen4 gains even more efficiency, when you're going down the curve.
Of course, you could call practically everything extremely efficient, compared to its stock behavior.
??
Ever since Zen 2 and especially Zen 3 is already exceptionally strong in decompression, 7z was never going to show that huge of an improvement. Also don't forget, there are some use cases, where there's not much advancement. For example, whatever CPU-Z is doing, AMD themselves presented...
Some developer this dude must be..... it was Dolphin's own Twitter account that wrote about themselves: 'such an IPC focused load' and not AMD..... π€¦
... but that wasn't the point of the post you're answering to, was it now? Trying to have a conversation with you in good faith is a colossal waste of prescious free time.
Your argument is undeniably solid right there. So many people forget to bring up the actual topic when they answer! Not you, though. You choose not to.
Stock ππππ€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ with a kit which has a price tag of over $350. Can't wait for people to look at the 13400 non-K's performance in a $700 mobo and calling it stock.
But a boy's gotta say anything and everything for the brand, right? π
Have you wondered why? Could it be coz it wasn't a joke after all, but rather a blatant rant trying to let you know how you really shouldn't just STATE things that nobody here could possibly verify and/or know for sure here, and even if they do, it means absolutely nothing without an...
if you've already run comprehensive power consumption tests, why don't you share the actual data with us, instead of throwing around sentiments like having failed to be impressed?
Because I assume you're not basing your post on TDP figures, that would be..... I don't know, that would be weird.
When you're saying it's 'more' than what ADL can achieve, you're forgetting that Zen4 still has its memory controller off-CCD and still achieving comparable latency despite the fact, while keeping all the benefits of utilizing a chiplet design.
I'd call that a huge win in that area.
So after everything that's happened around first party benchmarks over the past 5 years, now you're saying AMD is pulling a stunt here? You have got to be kidding.
It's so amusing to observe, how you appear to be an actually really smart person, yet you always choose to give in to selective ignorance and disingenuity so easily whenever it benefits the perception of your choice of brand.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed that one day I'm gonna meet a true prophet of the Lord on these forums. I feel honored beyond comprehension!
Please don't stop there, provide us with more of these unquestionable facts about the times to come, to which you seem to have divine...
We get that you're eternally in love with all things Intel, but I mean... if you're so annoyed by the FUD, could you please get a clue first about what IF actually is, before pouring oil onto the campfire?
Beautiful selection of benchmarks with zero relevance to E-cores..... :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:
it's like you shot yourself in the foot deliberately.
