It's your opinion that it would be better I'm assuming. But 2080 is better for marketing terms. It just sounds resolutely next gen no matter if it is or isn't.
As with all things, people usually pay more for things they feel are a superior product. Apple is superior over Android or Windows in many ways and in many ways they are inferior. It's subjective to the consumer and what they need/want. So, in the slight chance that you are equating nvidia's...
Should probably ask the reviewer why all benchmarks weren't run at the same time of day since there is so much less lighting to render/calculate. You have to ask yourself how they didn't notice this while benchmarking or how they failed to consider it might make a difference in the results.
Lets put the blame where it belongs.
Yeah, people should not take the bait,
But the zealots who love drama are what ruin forum discussions.

Sounds like you're preaching that the only reason people do not buy AMD and do by Nvidia is because they don't know any better. That it has actually nothing to do with Nvidia making good products that perform well. How do you expect something like this to stick, Bacon1? Don't you know that if...
Honestly, who the actual F cares?
I cannot believe what is being argued here. It would sorta be great if any of you put this much effort into things that actually mattered instead of how many fps better is my favorite graphics card with or without tesselation and argue... yes actually argue...
But you are talking about the entire PC market trend, under which all pc hardware producers fall. Not sure what parallels you were drawing, but I was responding to what I quoted. Not talking about the pc market, but the actual caliber of products (in this case processors) a company could or...
I recall this exact sentiment when Intel was in an infinitely worse position during Pentium D generation and right before Conroe. Remember? Its not everyday that a generation code name becomes a verb.
Intels golden years will never be behind them. They may dip into the silver now and a decade...
Ooof...Cringe... Out of all those reviews, you zeroed in on that one.
I like that even though the 1080Ti is slightly gimped in the ROP/bandwidth/mem department, they kept the core count the same and upped the clocks. Pretty smart way to differentiate their product and price structure kept in...
I can see identical gpus being the "best balanced" and therefore the smoothest mgpu setup could be. I would always choose a faster single gpu over mgpu though.
He said performance though. Not IPC. Whether it was obtained by arch. tweak and clock speeds or not. performance is performance and does not have to be an IPC increase.
My take on Ryzen and if it's worth it over an Intel solution should be the same as anyone's take. At least those who are neutral. Buy what is best for your own usage. If you strictly game, Intel is your best bet. If you require the most cores you could get your hands on because the software you...
Not really sure I understand how a company with the resources of Intel can let a company that has faced seemingly limitless loss and always seemed on the virge of going under like AMD, get within even the same solar system in terms of cpu performance. Either AMD is magical, or Intel has just...
