I have the Logitech, and I had the Emerson. The Emerson died four days after purchase where the Logitech still works day after day in a construction environment. If I were to choose again I would buy two of the Logitechs and never bought that Emerson....
LOL I had a waterblock on my 8800GT but i was too lazy to try it and didn't really oc it much so I never did. But the sheer size of the 260's in this case i could only imagine the cutting I'd have to do to get those to fit ;)
I have no need and NO room as you can see in those pictures. I don't even bother to OC my gpus due to the fact that the main game I play doesnt even care as long as its a DX10 card lol.
But yes after me and Gill built the 1st setup I had from my 775 system I'll never go back to air cooling...
I never OVERLY volted mine with the exception of the e8400 of which I was told, "take it as high as you can and as fast as you can" well 4.6ghz at 1.6v later it started acting funny. Was a good cpu dont get me wrong but when told to abuse and use something that was given to you for the sole...
I've been kicking around the idea of putting WC back in my rig for a bit now. I originally opted out for a Corsair H70 but the bug has bit me again, and I don't really like the temp's the h70 is giving me.
My questions are:
Are the heatercores still the king of the 2x120mm class? I've...
I finally took the plunge and sold my TRUE and went with water. Parts were given to me cheap by my brother and all the other misc. things were purchased by me. Anyways it's a E8400 at 4.2ghz running 20c idle and 40c loaded. Heres some pictures and you guys tell me what you think ;) Pictures are...
Turn off the alarms in the bios. Mine is currently reading 90+C in the bios and if I clear it sounds like an ambulance. Just disable it and DL CoreTemp to make sure your cpu is operationg properly. There are quite a few IP35-E's that have this problem so it's common.
My IP35-E > any of Gill's new/old mobos. Sure it has a voltage problem with quads but this dual is a champ and my ram will run WAYYY past the 800 spec just ask him ;)
There are so many dead and rma'd boards due to the Windows Flash Util crashing, read the abit tech support forums. I've used EVERY Bios from 14 through 18 and EVERY beta, the droop is still there so NO it's not a bios problem, my friend currently has my old quad and his board is starting to do...
False, it was done using a TRUE and you can't go by 1.59 in the bios, as it was only 1.48 in windows and 1.45 loaded, but after a few weeks of having it at 1.45 loaded the droop would droop it to 1.40 which was not stable. I popped my 8400 in and the problems gone, think what you will but these...
I was running mine QUITE higher then you were running yours also. 3.6ghz isn't 3.2ghz. I've also had mine in windows and semi stable at 3.7 but by no means were either of those prime stable, I have the same board with my current cpu which is a e8400 doing 4.2ghz without a sweat, the IP35-E...
My q66 was at 1.59v in bios which was 1.45loaded in windows or 1.49 unloaded I had the fsb up around 480ish but it was never stable til I dropped it below the 450 mark. I'm his brother btw :)
Speak for yourself rubberband boy.
And for the op, no exotic cooling was needed. I've had mine to 550 with nothing but fan on my TRUE cooling my internals, it never seemed to get that hot so I never bothered with extra cooling.
P.S. Don't ask me how many sets of Crucial Ballistix I've...
The ip35-e seems to top at 550, mine that im posting on has been to 555 but from the others i've seen 550 seems to be about the highest you can get it.
