I mounted my hard drives with short bungie cords and the hard drive noise was way better, try it. I just suspended the hard drives veritcally in the same hd cage that is in your case with short small bungie cords. You could also use rubber straps but the bungies worked out since you can use the...
Antec P180 a great case and lots of fun to build. It gives so may options on fans and where to put stuff. If you like to tinker and even if you don't a great case and a good company that stands behind their products.
Best to stay away from Seasonics as the more I read about them the more bad comments I I am seeing. I had a problem with one and will never buy another one.
I have a Abit KN8 Ultra motherboard and had all kinds of boot problems with a seasonic. I would get error beeps but if I shut it off and rebooted it would boot up. I put in a Tagan powersupply and no more problems. So my Sesonics will be real quiet now as I will never use them again.
What motherboard do you have mine runs fine at 225 and above and I have a NF3 motherboard. My DFI board wil go higher with the SATA if you use ports 3 or 4. If your board only goes to 205 I doubt that the buss is locked. Give us the brand and model of motherboard.
It may be the motherboard. I see lots of trouble with that motherboard. The reason I have not went to the 939s yet is not many choices on motherboards. DFI hurry and get your 939 board out. I have not seen many positive reports on 939 boards yet, just check out the forums on about any sight out...
I had a 3000 on my DFI board and just went to the 3400 and I think it is worth the extra cost. I am running 2580 right now and I am sure it will go much higher. Sisoft shows it to be faster than a P4 3.8 now and I am running stock voltage. I do hace a Thermalright XP120 heatsink and temps only...
If you take the VGA Silencer off use a straight edge and lay it across the gpu chip and see if you can slip a pice of paper between the shim and the straight edge. If not you may have to remove the shim. I had to remove a shim on a 9500 card I had but my new 9800 pro seems ok with the shim so...
Silenx is the best fan I have ever used as far as air flow vs noise they are much quieter than Panaflo fans. Many Panoflow fans make lots of noise when slowed down with a fan controler also it just depends on what version you get. Silenx is a great place to do business and I have never seen...
No static at all, I did them sideways because it was easier to do it as I used the hard drive cage that came with my case, Antec 3700. They are vertical instead of horazontal but it isn't supposed to make a difference. I could hear the heads when booting up before and under heavy disk access and...
I have hard drives in 2 machines mounted sideways with bungie cords and they work great. I went from hearing the hard drive seek to no hard drive noise at all. One of the best things I ever did as far as quieting things down in my case.
I don't think that will work. If you want you can get a replacment for the part you broke at KDcomputers, they have a replacment one that will use the standard heatsink or amd clip type heatsinks and it is made of metal and is only $5.00.
I just put a Tagan 380 in my case and it is great, very quiet, voltages are the best I have ever had 3.31 5.00 12.11 This PS has twised cables, SATA line a stong 12v line also which is good for P4s and high end video cards. Gold plated conectors on the wires also and it comes in a 480 version...
Panaflo fans do not have rpm sensors on them it is just a sensor to detect if the fan is running or not. Get a Zallman 7000 heatsink as it comes with a fan is quiet and cools well. Just make sure it fits your motherboard.
I just got my wife a I560 Canon and it is great. Only 89.95 at Sams Club. Canon makes great printers the I560 and I860 are both good printers that won't break the bank and they have great looking print and excellent photo printing.
Thr NEC is a good drive with much more support than the Oporite. I am about to get the NEC 1300a and I have been researching DVD drives for about 2 weeks now and for the money the NEC is the one to get. You can get the NEC at Livewirehouse for 125 shipped.
You just cost me 419 plus tax. Boy what a good deal and this thing is a great camera, I guess I need to sell my A70 now. Got it today for 419 at CC in Fort Worth. Thanks
Did you set your memory timing to 5-4? If it is set at 5-4 then your memory is bad but if the memory timing is set at 1-1 try 5-4 and it should work. Also it is OK to set memory voltage up a notch or two without hurting the memory.
I just set this cpu up last week and it is great I am using the stock heatsink and fan. I did take the stock pad off and lap the heatsink a bit and have AS2 on the cpu. I am now running it at 235 at stock voltage and it will go bunches more I am sure just going up about 5 to 10 a day and...
Yes it is the full featured board for 119 at Newegg and Googelgear. I kind of want to go NF2 but after talking to 2 motherboard companies tech support and they said go with the KT400 chipset so that is what I did. I also wanted to unlock the lower multipliers on my 2400 without modifying it...
I just went through the same thing and I decided to go with the KT400 chipsetfor several reasons. One is they unlock the 2400s where the N-Force chips don't. I called 2 motherboard companys and they both said to go with the KT400 as the N-Force had too many problems. I know many are running the...
I just went from a HP 970 and now have the Canon i850. Wow the Canon is so much faster and does great color prints. I used to bash Canon but now with the replacable print head, low ink cost and HP going to tiny print cartridges, goodbye HP hello Canon. The first picture I did on 4X6 photo paper...
The SK7 should fit fine on that board. SK7 is a great heatsink for the money. That motherboard has lots of room for heatsinks and the SK7 isn't that big so it should be no problem at all.
You can use double faced heavy duty tape on each corner of the 92MM fans and it works great for holding them in place and you don't have to drill any holes and you can take them out if you like. You do have to take out the 80MM fan holders but the 92MM fans fit in the case great then and the...
You can go up on the multipliers but not below 15 without closing the last L3 connection. To get a 16 multiplier set it to 8 in the bios but that won't work if you close the last L3 connection, just 12.5 and down will work then.
It depends on how high you want to go. I just installed a 2400+ today in that same motherboard and memory. I decided not to unlock the cpu for now so I set the fsb at 138 and all was well, then I set it back to 133 and set the multiplier at 16, stock is 15 and set the cpu at 1.7 volts and it...
I am getting a XP2400 this week and wonder if anyone knows if the 8K5a+2 will support the 13 or 14 multplier with a new release of the Bios. I know 12.5 and under will work by unlocking the last L3 bridge but I would rather use 13 or 14 multiplier if possible.
Try uping memory voltage 1 to 2 notches over stock, also set the AGP to 2X in the bios sometimes this helps. Also did you change the jumper on the motherboard from 100 to 133 when you changed CPUs, that has to be done.
After much research I bought the NEC 1355 and I love it. Sony is nice but customer service sucks from Sony. Try calling the toll free tech lines with a question and that will make you go to the NEC, they are great. Oh on Cnet they had many bad customer reveiws on the Samsung, It may have just...
Try using 3 washers on each spring, that seems to help alot and I doubt if that is enough fan for that fast of a cpu you may have to get a higher cfm fan I used a YS Tech 48.5 cfm fan on mine and it worked great and didn't make that much noise.
