The odd timing issue I had was not an issue with the modded BIOS, might be the XMP profile. Works like it should on 4x8GB Kingston HyperX sticks. Also, I get alot of WHEA Parity Errors.
This stopped when I bumped the voltages a bit. I ran 1.6V Input, -70mV vcore and -50mV cache. I set these to...

I got this yesterday. For some reason the memory timings are crazy, at least as per reported by CPUz. They seem normal on my ASRock setup, which also has the "wonder BIOS". Is this a problem with the BIOS...
I ran the non-FFS BIOS (no idea what FFS even is in "computer terms"). It runs around 3.2-3.3GHz most of the time, with the occasional bounce to 3.5GHz, or down to 3.1GHz or so.
I flashed a BIOS provided by our chinese(?) friend, and judging from the behavior of the system it's running around 2.9-3GHz on all threads. According to HWInfo, the power limit is exceeded, which might be the reason it does this, I guess. Temperatures are fine. There seem to be four settings...
What sort of voltages do people use on these 18c chips when maxing them out? My 2686 runs at sub-0.8v when at 2.3GHz, which I suspect might not be enough when at 3GHz all cores fully loaded :p trying to man up to figure out the whole thing, but can't risk screwing up my system before my exams...
Is there a BIOS available for ASRock X99 OC Formula? I only get error messages... "error in saving" in UBU 1.66.1, whatever that means. Can't seem to get many answers when googling the cause, and I do run it as admin and there's plenty of space on the drive.
In case a kind soul wants to help me...
Just a thought, it might be a good idea to have like a small database wth all the BIOSes, så people easily can get the right one for their system :)
Testing my 2686 + X99 OC Formula combo later this week.
I got that one as well, and also a Z10PA-D8. Sadly, wth v4 ES chips as of right now. Are QFSB chips suitable for testing? Old V3 ES with rubbish turbo.
I found this thread after watching that youtube video. Got the newqest BIOS for my ASROck X99 OC FOrmula, and tried to run the UBU batch file - but it only gives me GSMCORE not present. Can't see anyone else having the same issue with ASRock bioses?
Edit: used an old verson og UBU, which caused...
