Is there any actual real evidence from after the announcement (about canning new nodes) that glofo are still planning to go full steam ahead with 12fdx. Or has it been taken out the back yard and shot
Considering glofo cancelled pretty much everything, then surely it's a no. 22fdx is the only thing we can say for sure. Otherwise you enter the realm of pure speculation and fantasy
Where does this dude get this nonsense from, are we seriously expected to believe glofo cancelled all bleeding edge nodes and Amd shifted their entire future ryzen and gpu stack to tsmc. YET AMD are somehow going to port zen2 to 12fdx (which we don't even know for sure is coming out), develop...
You can use pro tools in windows mate, I've been using it for years in my home studio. Also when people are taking about the massive latency hits with Threadripper, maybe the 32 core isn't what you need. The 16 core Threadripper could be just as useless to you and still a big upgrade on the 10...
hence why I said 'soldered socket', but it doesn't look like there is any sign that something like this is in the works so far. Intel are struggling to penetrate the market with kaby lake G and nvidea are able to keep them shut out of gaming brands. It makes zero financial sense to create a...
Surely If AMD released a product like this it would be in the far future and not on AM4. Anything with remotely decent performance is going to have far too high a power budget for most Am4 boards. If you build it on threadripper it's starting to turn into a VERY niche product and again you need...
Is there any chance you will enable gpu virtulisation on consumer GPU's or Vega Frontier edition such as SR-IOV.
It isn't just proffesional workloads that could use this, home users are more commonly building systems that can serve the entire household in one package or people who use...
Does anyone have an idea of what the price differential would be between the 12 core and the Ryzen 12/16 core? IS there any chance the Ryzen 16 core could cost less than the intel 12 core?
I managed to pick up an entire 5775c itx system on ebay for £400, ended up throwing in a gtr 480 and giving it to a friend. Such a good CPU, I wish they would have used the EDRAM on other desktop CPU's and not just mobile. It makes a really decent APU as well.
Times like this I wish I lived in the states, damn brexit. Still no good motherboard stock and everything is overpriced. If I knew somebody who was going on holiday to the states I think I would just ask them to buy my entire upgrade.
