I'm surprised no one posted the test from THW.de yet. Edit: Said that 3 minutes too early ;)
Vega is doing pretty well against a Quadro P6000 in workstation related scenarios. Their reasoning to run it against a Quadro was to test it on software which isn't supported by the Titan X.

GN tested the power consumption "from the wall" so it's useless to determine actual power usage differences in percentages. And PCPer didn't mentioned averages so I had to refer to the TDP in the graphic, which, according to PCPer, is at least in line this time.
"In general, the power draw of...
My try to put Vega FE against Titan X into prospective:
I used the numbers from GamersNexus and PCPerspective benchmarks (@ stock settings).
However, this chart is showing all benchmarks of GN and PCP :
Regarding the possible driver issues. Is it possible that AMD put the vast majority of its coder into the ROCm development (link to German article about it) so they get it ready for Radeon Instinct? So my theory is that they left the driver development alone when they had a working but...
This "Pioneer" is one of the first customers with a Vega FE in his hands. The link is showing all the posts he made at wccftech with screenshots of GPU-Z and apparently he wants to run some benchmarks as well.
To add to that here are some memory benchmarks for FO4 on a Ryzen 1600:

Those 3 research papers where mentioned in this Forbes article about Epyc. I thought they could be of interest for some of you:

Banded Kestrel will be the Ryzen/Vega APU for desktops, right? If that's the case then it will ship in the first half next year after they launched the RyzenMobile platform later this year.
Listen to this (skip to ~10:45) where Jim Anderson talks about that.
Nice to read that. I gambled a bit and bought the Patriot Viper Elite DDR4 16GB (2x8) 2800MHz kit before the rest of my system because I could get them for a fair price of €120 @Amazon.de. I'm glad that they are working as advertised on AM4 with the new AGESA.
I also took off the heatsink and...
Raja mentioned that this would be possible in his AMA on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/6bklro/we_are_radeon_technologies_group_at_amd_and_were/dhqo06p/
But so far there aren't any signs that we will see this soon.
Not sure if this was posted already but I found this whitepaper (sponsored by AMD ;) ) linked inside a forbes article:

Thought this could be interesting for some of you (I personally have no clue).
I agree, your naming scheme sounds better but then you would have the problem with the three 12 core CPUs. You would end up with 1960X, 1960 and then something like 1960X+ when the third number is always equal to 1/2 the cores.
German retailer Mindfactory is showing how many processors they have sold and it basically confirms what the article is saying - 1700 is the most popular (with the 1700X) atm but the 1600 is catching up fast.
Too bad there are not that many sites doing the API test more often. What I've learnt so far - If a reviewer is only showing a broken DX12 benchmark like Rise of the Tomb Raider then I can't take him seriously anymore.
I just throw this in here. I have collected the numbers of many recent gaming benchmarks (1080p, only reviews published 04/11 or later) and put them together in this database:

Warning! It is not that easy to read...
I wouldn't read too much into the Tomb Raider benchmark, especially with DX12. It is clearly broken in its current state and you don't even need an AMD GPU to see that. Just lower the resolution like they did at nordichardware.se to see that something is wrong here when it comes to Ryzen (and...
I'm not entirely sure about that as higher speed RAM also affects Intel systems. These benchmarks here show that both systems scale with higher speed: https://www.purepc.pl/procesory/test_procesora_amd_ryzen_7_1700_cenowy_rywal_core_i7_7700k?page=0,42
Eurogamer copied the results from the Digital Foundry review. I gathered some numbers together of other reviewers for RotTR if you are interested in this.
