How does this system sound to you? Be honist!

If its the games your after 850 chip will mash most things with a decent gpx card you don't need any fast. I woulden't get caught in a game of one up manship.

Netscape6 ?

They have a better implementation of Java and work close with SUN , but that is about it. And they came up with the language that turned into JavaScript, which is not Java.

Does it have to be per page dynamicly generated or once a day manual etc. Me : I would write a page to build the images in HTML etc, but it woulden't look like that. Do you have the source for the applet (thou JAD will open it), what do you want the end result to be ?

Whoops .... didn't finish !! Thats a client thing, because of the way it works, there is more than one client at the mo. As soon as the next phase of the server stuff is done, I know i'm going to be helping with the client, thou I've never had any problems with it yet. Will ask questions here etc.

Good point xtra crispy. There is probally some thing in the court case paperes about the intergration of explorer in the desktop enviroment of windows !! Netscape boots nice and fast on my quad alpha at work !! :)

Frontpage !!!! I've been building sites for over 4 years now and using HTML (and SGML before that) for longer , and the number of times I've been given some work and had to use note pad or a text editor to fix the rubbish frontpage churns out it fairly countless, its usally a start again job...

Its the bad implementation of Nutscrape, especially 6, it should of never been released. Takes ages to load but it will mash decent HTML in seconds

Simple HTML question

Use JavaScript find the size of the window, or force it to 800*600 then load a pre defined image. And make it a PNG of low quality, for all the modem users :)

Accessing database using MFC

Write them as dB functions and call them using ODBC, takes the heat of the dB engine as the functions will be optomised and the calls eaiser. And it can't be done with Microsoft doc's any of this. Are the dB's designed well ?

Depends on what you are going to do, the main argument is to learn HTML before using a WYSIWYG, its knowledge that makes the workman (person) not the tools. I started on texpad , and now use Homesite (soon to be NEO). But the days of static HTML are growing to an end and with ss scripting etc...

Need help finding an Online Shopping cart program that is easy to use

Thats going to be nearly impossiable without hiring some one else to do it, unless there is some voice rec software out there that is sooooo good you can just say "Build me a site, I'll be back in 5 mins". :)

Do you have a place that a small site could be hosted, then are 100 + 1 webmail progs than can be set up on machines. I do the same when I travel and I can be arsed to take the laptop.

Perl 'supports' object oriented programming, there is a slight diffrence as it can be written with diffrent styles. Thou the server is more of an issue here because that will dictate what languages can be supported. I would write it in PHP any day as is more portable that all of them, will...
