Poll: Windows 3.11, 95, 98, 98SE, or ME ?

I would say 95c, as it is smaller then 98, just as stable, and runs great. Overall, Liunx is king.

I have, but i get a command not found error when I run it. I am stumped as all get out. I know that I had sound under red HAt 5.0, using sndconfig.

NT stands for Northern Telecom. It is in the MS copyright statement for Windows NT.

Worst CPU You Ever Owned??

I ran ( and still have mounted on my wall) a K5-133. Benchmarked slightly faster then P-166 (Intel) and was killer to the end.

How do I remove LILO from the MBR?

I have found that the only real way to ensure that LILO is removed is D/L the Microshaft (figures don't it?) file DELPART.EXE which is compat. w/ all file systems. I tried the /mbr and it only works some of the time ( I lost over 7GB of info on a secondary partion due to fdisk /mbr.. I would...

Win ME, Win 2k & Redhat 7. Can it be done ?

I don't know about tri-booting that way ( I did get Win98 SE, Win 2K Pro, and Mandrake 6.1 to work using System Commander). I currently dual boot Win Me, and Mandrake 7.2. In order to do this I had to put Win Me on first then Linux. It has its own boot mngr, and works great.

PIII or AMD Athlon for W2k?

I too run an Athlon ( A 600 overclocked to 690 and it stabble as all get out), as for mainboards Gigabyte all the way. I use the GA-7IXE and love it.

If you have the choice either reload your machine with Win Me. If you are using an upgrd, you will be prompted for proof of eligiblity. At thias point put in Win 9x cdrom. You can boot with 98 boot disk (or any for that matter). Goto your cdrom and type "setup". But if you are looking...
