Yeah you're right, just tested it now. Either they've changed it since I last tested it or (which probably is more likely) I made a mistake. I don't think that would have fooled anyone, you have become a little .. predictable.

I didn't think you'd bother bunkering this time Stefan with Universe not allowing multiple clients, but it was obvious that you were by your 'nul point' throughout the comp, then I thought you might end up shooting yourself in the foot and not realise this, I've done this before myself, hosing...

Linux does seem to be quicker than windows on Universe. I try to run all my boinc projects in linux on my big machines because of windows screwed up node assignment. Don't know if you've noticed but If the machine is dual proc and over 64 threads then work is assigned unevenly over the CPUs and...

I wouldn't bother, I'm getting AVX SSE2 & FMA . On my Haswell machines there's nothing in it between the three, runtimes are all about the same.

Can I ask Stefan is this in Linux? if so which distro? and what boinc client version? One of our members has a theory that my troubles might be because I using an old boinc client.

It's been a while since I ran cosmology but the 'run time limit exceeded' is something I remember, the server expects you to finish the work unit in a certain time, when you don't you get that error message, presumably so not to grant you too much credit. You should find that the next work units...
