Plextor 12/10/32 new chipset? More details/questions- update Nov 5

TDK and Plextor both say the same rip speed for audio is 24X. Plextor's website description of their drive lists DAO and SAO. I looked at the specs for each, and from everything I can tell, TDK = rebadged plextor.

WTF, Indiana doesn;t do Daylight savings time???

What country in the WORLD does this except the USA? None that I know of... something like the world uses metric, and we use the british measuring system (or whatever its called, standard or whatever). Homer: "...first time I've been early to work, except all those daylight savings days...

Anyone here who lives/has lived in Washington, D.C. area?

Rush hour traffic is GOD awful. The metro (subway) is absolutely fabulous for most of the metro area, don't think there's anything near McLean yet though... though metro gets damn busy during rush hour. For Weather: we are a bunch of whining wimps. -Winter: occasional blizzard measuring less...

Indianapolis bans kids from playing violent arcade games

Sucks to be an arcade owner I guess... ... I guess its this or have psychiatric review before inserting coins. Don't think it solves anything, nor do I think it hurts too much... more of a feelgood do nothing kind of law. Well, now the kids can go back to the streets where its safe... ;)

C++ Question

iostream functions allow a basic understanding of OOP, that is why they tend to be exclusive to C++. istreams and ostreams are inhereted streams, both of which have many member functions. cin/cout are objects of those types... you must remember the << and >> operators are doing the job...

School Suspended An 11 Year Old for Carrying A Tweety Bird Chain To School - WTF!!

Those sharp edges corners on pieces of paper... damn, someone could really hold up a school with that... we need etcha-sketches that are superglued to the desks to prevent people from killing each other with paper and pencils. Or we need to ban all rectangular paper in favor of round cardboard...

I can tell you right off the bat why the matrix is filled with the last character: ... when you are inputing var, you then for/for to fill the entire matrix with that character. you also have the cout within the for/for loops (generating 5 columns * 5 rows = 25 occurrences of var to stdout)...

growing up with ignorant white children in school was pretty annoying since i'm the india's indian style indian ("Indian-American") and be told "Where's your feather?" or "Why aren't you going AWWW-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH"... children are annoying that way...

The double standard does exist to an extent... and racism exists in EVERY race... but the "not racist" people a lot of times have really buried down underlying racism that doesn't involve burning crosses. It's sad even now that i, a college aged non-white with business casual attire...

Mach 3 razor users...

I usually dispose after 4... I cut too easily with my grizzly stiff hairs :) ... entirely too costly at ~1.50 per blade :( But definately the best shave I get :) If you have a mirror, put a thin coat of shaving cream (rub it in till clear) on it to prevent it from fogging up.

The RIAA has the means of finding out what username and IP has what songs (the entire direct connection between pirating users allows this quite simply)... they can then get their ISP to close their accounts, pretty simple in a complex way (time is the only issue). ... shouldn't they be after...
