ipod fm connection

I'm trying to connect my ipod to my car stereo, which doesn't have an aux in or a cassette deck (cd only). Any one have good experiences with wireless transmitters like the irock? I wanted to try the itrip but i have a new ipod and it doesn't work with the dock connector yet. Another option...

Quite a few people on the mythtv mailing list are using this case for their PVR box. The onboard sound is well supported by alsa, and I think the onboard video is ok for tv-out viewing. I was planning on ordering one for my HTPC.

Best Hard Drive + Enclosure?

Dell Deals like the last one for 18" LCD and P4

Gotapex.com posts dell deals almost daily. After reading that for a couple weeks you'll know when a good one has come up. I got the 2350 + 18" LCD deal and sold the computer and palm. I kept the LCD for about ~210. If you're willing do something like that I'd say every 3 weeks a good deal...

How bad are Cendyne drives other than LITEON?

I just got back from OM with a 48x cendyne Cd-rw drive. They didn't have any LTR-* drives so I settled for the AOPEN drive (model 48x12x50). I've been searching and everyone has been saying the Benq and AOpen drives suck. But are they that bad? Anyone out there have a positive experience...

You can use only the USB connection. Otherwise logitech couldn't claim mac compatibility. The directions say "use P2/S whenever possible" but you can use the single USB connection for PC also according to the manual. I've only used it on my mac so far.

Panasonic DVD-RP62S progressive scan DVD player - $129.99

Your TV needs to support 480p (progressive) as opposed to 480i (interlaced). In general only HD-compliant TVs can display progressive video signals. In fact, many HD rear projection TVs display everything as 1080i. They simply upconvert all video signals (480i, 480p, 720p) to 1080i.

I wouldn't buy this if you're planning on using the dolby digital output on the on board sound. These refurbs don't include the dolby digital bracket with SPDIF OUT. I emailed newegg before when they were had refurbs for sale and instead opted for a new one for $88 (still a good deal).

WinXP's CD Burning feature

The windows xp built in burning software uses Roxio cd creator's engine, hence it sucks ;) But seriously, the quality is exactly the same as burning a disc with disc as once using cd creator. As for error write proof, if the burn fails windows tells you, if the burn says completed sucessfully...

Looking for a good TV Tuner card...

It depends on the operating system you are running. Under windows 98 it worked great, but I'm now using windows XP and there is a strange bug with the tuner software that causes the tv picture to be all distorted unless you change focus to another window while opening the TV tuner program...
