Largest Processor Abit KT7-Raid can take..

I know what it officially says, but I'm sure there is a way to run higher. I did a search and saw that updating to the latest bios allows you to run higher. What is the fastest chip that anyone has running on this board cleanly? TIA Matt

Any AT super socket 7 MB's made?

I've got an old P200 with 96 megs EDO ram and it's not working well for a game I have. I'd like to upgrade the MB and Processor to get a little bit more kick. Did anyone make a Super Socket 7 MB that could use SIMMS on an AT platform?

Clone CD shutting down system when trying to burn image

Yeah, but it was working fine. I installed 2.8.5.2 and it did the same thing. I blew out both and pulled all the reg keys and downloaded 3.0.0.20 and installed it and it is working fine now.

Clone CD shutting down system when trying to burn image

Has anyone encountered this before? It was working fine a day ago. Now when I try to burn from an image, it Shuts down my PC. This is a registered version of 3.0.0.9 After my PC boots back up, all the registration info is gone and I have to re-enter it. Any thoughts? I'm testing under Win98Se...

need dll help, is there a utility that'll list all dlls used by a program during runtime?

Yeah.. If you're a programmer and have VS6, the Dependancy Walker will do it. Otherwise, I have a quick and easy little program that will tell you what DLL's an .exe uses (non runtime) and the amount of occurances. Give me an Email adx to send to. None listed in your profile

Nevermind.. I guess I just had to reboot BOTH computers. I had rebooted the box I was trying to connect with, but not both of them.

Fanarama - fans for a buck!

I order 6 of them and I got a very odd assortment. I got a Panaflo 120MM and an 80MM. I got 3 all connected to some other piece of plastic that are 92MM and all have grills. I got another Generic 120MM with a grill as well. All in all it was about 12 bux for 6 fans.. which is still a good deal...

Explorer crashes in all modes- how to fix

My questions: There is a means to use dos to copy the contents of one drive to another, I just don't remember how. You can use xcopy or xcopy32 (much faster) HTH -Cybr

Ogg Vorbis - colour me impressed!

I like the quality of the vorbis files as well and I'd use it over MP3 anyday just due to the fact that it is FREE and open source. That means, when it comes time for Hardware support, manufacturers can add Vorbis with no royalties. Iomega already has Vorbis hardware support. I'm just waiting...

I need a time machine as this old Intel VX P100 sings a sad tune!!

Brain Dead - I have an old VX board and it only goes to 32 meg. I had a couple of 64's in and it only detected them as 32, but the worked fine at 32. I had the latest BIOS I could find for my board so that didn't make any difference.

An easy way to do what Jugornot suggested is to use MSCONFIG. click start and goto run. type in msconfig and hit enter. Change to selective startup and uncheck "Load Startup group items" then click over to the Startup tab and enable the programs one by one and test. Like Jugornot said...

I just remembered something, I had this system dual booting 98 and RH Linux 6.2. The point where it starts with the 1's and 0's is right before lilo used to kick in. I just had it set to 4 secs and default to windows so my g/f didn't freak out like she did when it booted into linux :D If LiLo...

Hmm.. that's odd. I pulled all the cards out except video and 2 simms. still doing the same thing. I does seem to be HD related though, because I can boot to a startup disk. does re-creating the Master boot record do anything to the data stored on the disk? I don't think it would, but I need to...

"LAG" problem with UT playing online with GF2 GTS card....HELP!

If you're using Verizon DSL with a PPPoE connection of any sort under win9x, you'll get DHCP polls for about the interval you said. Try going into tcp/ip for the NIC and setting the IP to 192.168.69.69 and make sure wins resolution is Disabled not set to use DHCP. Haven't played with the routers...

Any way to get a vortex1 to work in an abit KT7A-Raid??

Hmm.. I've got a KT7-Raid and a OEM Vortex2 Superquad working perfectly does EAX and A3D fine with the newest drivers. This is under 98SE though. I'll be installing win2k soon. Let ya know how it goes... -cybr

Umm.. I need some clarification. What the heck do you mean? Boot when you hit the spacebar? so you want to turn the system on and have it stop then boot when you hit the spacebar? or are you talking about when there is a problem on boot.. and you want to finish booting anyway.. like hitting F1...

Help! I need extension wires for my power switch and LED headers!

Why don't you just goto Radio shack and get some bulk wire that matches the size of the stuff you've got and rewire to to fit? It'll be a lot cleaner than splicing 2 wires together. Plus you'll have some left over for future projects. I'm a neat freak so that is what I'd do. -Cybr

Can't get the Windows 98 Startup menu to go away. Help!!!

It's much easier to click Start | Run | Type: Msconfig | hit enter.. then proceed from step 3 :D But both TweakUI and MSconfig both just set the boolean in msdos.sys like Ladi mentioned.
