Samsung 955DF rebate ($50 MIR) being incorrectly honored, mixed up perhaps?

Mine's approved. Estimated check mail date of 9/13. They sent me an e-mail about a month ago saying it was approved which I thought was nice, but then they don't actually mail the check until 2 months later.

Hmm, I benchmarked my first partition with Sandra and got an 18826, which isn't as good as Sandra says it should be, but I guess its not too bad. I think the score is a little low too because its the first partition. XP is still really slow booting, so I've still got some more stuff to look...

Yea I think the infs were for the chipset. They just popped up on the MSI CD which seems to autodetect what drivers you need to install. I checked the IAA program and it says my HD's are running in UDMA5 and CD-ROM's are doing UDMA 2. They still seem pretty slow though and checking my DMA's...

USB 2.0: on board or PCI?

I've got the MSI 845 board with USB 2.0 and it still takes up a PCI slot cuz the USB is on an additional chip. So you get the 2 up top by the PS2 ports which are normal USB and then 4 down below in a PCI slot. You could stickem down at the bottom and then they'll cover up the CNR slot which...

P4 Temp Sensor

I've got a 1.6A on an MSI Ultra ARU mainboard and there seems to be something wrong with the CPU temperature sensor. I'm not sure if this sensor is on the CPU or on the mainboard, but its telling me my CPU temp is 13 degrees Celcius when it says the case temp is around 30. Room temp should be...

My Mac friends have told me Small Dog is a reliable source for Mac hardware. And yeah if the new iBook is just like the old one, but with a bigger screen, they are pretty nice.
