I've found out that I'm about 10290 feet from the CO. Can anyone tell me a more accurate speed expectation besides the generic, rated 384kbps - 1.5mbps down and 128kbps up? Edit: One more thing I don't understand. If I need PPPoE for DSL, aren't I technically "signing" in each session...

Hey, It's been a while since I've built my last computer and the bus speeds are confusing me. :) It support DDR400, but for budget reasons I'm going with an Athlon XP 2600+ with a 333 bus. So, the proper RAM to get is PC2700, right? I wish they'd just stick to one numbering system... Also...

is 1152*864 a "proper" resolution?

I can pretty easily tell the difference, and I need at least 100Hz on a CRT monitor or my eyes just don't like the flicker... preferably I'm just on an LCD monitor though. Much better on my eyes. :)

Hey, it's all magical like that. :D The 32-bit code runs as well as the 64-bit code, except for the fact that 64-bit code will in some instances be more efficient. This is something AMD has been touting forever; unlike the Itanium it won't take a hit on 32-bit solutions.
